I have four indoor cats each is about ten pounds. So I was a bit nervous when purchasing this item, especially since many reviews for similar products were a bit discouraging. But after trying this out for the past few weeks I really like it.
A few notes though. I just purchased a brand new home and did not want to use nails. This unit comes conveniently with velcro stickums to attach to the window. This is fairly solid. However my cats are large and hyper. So when they jump, pounce, and play with each other it does pull the bed from the window. When the velcro stickum is pulled off it did pull some paint off and leave some sticky behind. So, unfortunately I will likely end up using the nails to fasten it down. The product has little plastic feet for support on the actual perch. These are adjustable and do not leave marks on the wall. On positives: this product was able to support more than one cat at a time. The hood was very easy to remove. Which was great for me as my cats like looking out of the window. For those who are interested the hood has the same beige fleece lining as the perch, it has a cloth exterior and for support there is a plastic rod in the front so it will not collapse. The perch itself has a soft lining. It is attached to the base using a stretchy cord in the seam (I am struggling a bit to describe it). It can be easily removed for cleaning. Overall I am very satisfied with this product and purchased another for downstairs.

This is worth the $. Nicely made and sturdy. Easy to put on sill if you have wide enough sill (10 min.) and can be put on thinner sill with little adjustment. Washable cover. Comfy for even large kitty.

My cat loves this! We needed to get her off of sleeping on our bed and this did it! I turned the bolster around so that it is on the side of the room intead of the window, she likes that better. Easy to sweep the hair off of and throw in the wash! Make sure the legs click in or they won't hold any weight. It looks nice in the room too.
