4.0 out of 5 stars handy
its really handy when i'm going to parks where i know i'm going to be buying lots, but dont want to carry it.
its tiny and convinient.
the only problem is it is a bit flimsy so you cant carry heavy things with it often. but to carry free toys and flyers and coupons that you pick up while walking a festival, its ideal.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad if your up for some sewing (and know a knot or two)
Overall i think 3 stars is probably generous given the amount of time I have spent fixing a new piece of equipment.

Nice little pack to carry in your pocket; however, after only a few days of very light use (maybe 3-4 lbs) the stitching is coming undone in several places. There is a one inch long hole at the seam on top of the bag and i think one of the...

You simply get a tough, lightweight, smallish backpack to fold into a keychain sized pouch, so if you are looking for more than that, go elsewhere. BUT should you want a handy little bag you ca take everywhere and pull it out when you need it, this bag is GREAT. It was recently indispensable when travelling and we rented mopeds- I threw everything I needed in there and had my hands free. Note the straps are lightweight- almost like ribbons, and they adjust, but don't always stay put! I also bought the tote but end up using this all the time. Overall, a unique product that's worth it.

Overall i think 3 stars is probably generous given the amount of time I have spent fixing a new piece of equipment.

Nice little pack to carry in your pocket; however, after only a few days of very light use (maybe 3-4 lbs) the stitching is coming undone in several places. There is a one inch long hole at the seam on top of the bag and i think one of the shoulder straps will fall off soon (the hole is separate from the strap, there are two independent places where the stitching is coming up). The stitching on the entire bag is fairly mediocre.

Also, the plastic clips that allow the shoulder straps to adjust are loose/broken. Just carrying a change of clothes causes the plastic adjustment to let the shoulder strap lengthen itself until the bag falls off your back. This can be fixed by removing the plastic clip and tying the straps together which makes the shoulder strap not so easily adjustable.

This small, portable backpack is useful for everything from day hiking trips to school and work days. Light, flexible, but strong enough for regular use.

1.0 out of 5 stars Usually love Kiva but not this one, September 17, 2010

I have about a dozen of the Kiva foldable keychain shopper bags, which I love, but I was very disappointed in the backpack. The straps are not only thin and fragile, they come loose from the buckles constantly, even when knotted, rendering the backpack useless.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy, August 16, 2009
This review is from: Kiva Key Chain Pack (Apparel)
This tiny backpack was quite handy on a recent trip to Finland. It's surprisingly roomy. However before using it, try reinforcing the straps. I believe other reviews offered that helpful tidbit but I didn't follow their advice. The straps have now ripped away from the pack and it needs to be sewn by a professional. Of course taking it out to be sewn will cost more than what it costs. Still.... I carried about 10 books in it over a couple of days. I don't recommend that. It worked well for groceries and souvenir purchases while traveling. Although it ripped, (which really was my fault) I'm planning on ordering more of these items as holiday gifts for traveling friends.

If you really want a collapsible or folding backpack that works, I suggest spending $30 for one at REI. It's absolutely fabulous.

This is a pretty amazing little pack that I bought specifically because of it's small size when folded up so I can take it on a trip to Ireland in the fall and have extra luggage space on my return trip to bring back some Irish goods! The only thing negative would be that it is a little tricky to figure out how to re-fold it into it's little pouch.

Oh My Gosh - these are the BEST little things. WE stick one in our motorcycle saddle bag and when we get to a rally you grab the little bag
(like 2 1/2" by 3") and attach it to your belt look. As you purchase or pick up samples/paperwork you unfold the backpack, fill it up and throw it on your back. Nothing in your hands!! It can be bungied to your bike for travel if you ran out of room in your bags! Perfect. I bought a good many and gave them to others who love them just as much.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you travel, it is a must!, January 9, 2012

I had found a product similar to this several years ago and I loved it so much, I have been searching to buy another. I found this and I bought one for myself and one for a Christmas present for a friend that also loves to travel. It is compact and light weight and expand out to hold a lot when it is needed! It can be used as a backpack once it is full and helps you to stay hands free! When it is not full it can hang from your belt, your keys, your purse, etc.

2.0 out of 5 stars Shoulder Strap Buckles Failed, First Use, June 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kiva Key Chain Pack (Apparel)
Small size is impressive and convenient. Took it overseas on vacation. Put 3 bananas and 2 apples inside, put on my back and both adjustable straps slipped out of the buckles. Readjusted, made certain the strap locks were locked, and straps slipped again. Disappointing. Can secure straps if you tie a knot in the straps at the buckle, at the desired length. Be aware that the plastic molded buckles on the shoulder straps do not work as intended, even with very little weight. It is very small and lightweight. Have used at the market about 7 times and it is still holding up well.
