Best and Last............, December 31, 2009
The Rakes, great underated band from the U.K led the charge with other unknons in the USA, like Max Park, Art Brut, Arctic Monkeys, etc.. I've been partial to these Wire/Gang of Four disciples, short clipped bouncy tunes, with just the right syncopation, sadly they called it day after this one, 3 releases all real good, with the last being the strongest and clocking in at 1/2 hr, leaves you time to spin Pink Flag, again.
Sold effort - lets see what these guys do next, new bands I'm certain.
