All Hail Lord and King : Kitchener,
By Coolarray "KB" (Rochester,NY, USA) - See all my reviews

I remember Kitch's music as a child in the caribbean.I am now completely in awe his talent and of this compilation. (especially Vol.3). It is wonderful uptempo music. Like they say in the Caribbean "yu got to wine yu waist!" no question whatsoever!. If you love good Jump-up music this is the one for you. (Definitely Not the wave yu hand/flag/rag nonsense of today)
The earlier volumes (1 and 2) were a little bit before my time. but Vol 3 is absolutely magnificent with more modern accompaniment. Nevertheless it is interesting to see how his music evolved over the years. My three year old daughter and I are dancing to this CD all the time! She loves it. This is some of the best arranged calypso music ever made, no wonder the Steel-pan men love it so! Kitch you are so missed. Each song on the CD is timeless.Thank you for still bringing joy to the world even after you're gone!

Why do we let the good stuff get away. The 'Lord' is jammin' and nobody's listening anymore. Pan in 'A' Minor, Symphony in 'G' these are tunes that should never stop playing. But, everybody thinks they've found something new. This is truly Klassic Kitchener

This ablum is OUTSTANDING. Jerico gets you moving and you dont stop till the last song. All of the songs are classics in showing not only Kitch's writing and arranging skill but also the evolution of early calypso, a few are truly iconic of Kitch's skill jerico, pan in A minor, pan in harmony, fever, sugar bum bum, symphony in G, the symptons of carnival, the bees melody, give me the ting, the spirit and tribute to spree simon.
Well worth the money Enjoy

Lord Kitchener (the Grand Master) is one of the greatest Calypso artists ever! This is an excellent compilation, my favorite of the "Klassic Kitchener" series, especially since it includes later hits from the 80's & 90's. Sugar Bum Bum, Bees Melody, Rain-O-Rama, Gimme The Ting, & Tribute To Spree Simon are among my all time favorite Calypso tunes.
