Outstanding Lieder, August 20, 2011

While searching for some new guitar lieder to listen to, I happened upon this little gem! This is a 1994 release from Novalis records. All around, a good solid recording. Peter Schreier has a warm and inviting voice perfectly suited for this style of music. He is accompanied by Konrad Ragossnig on guitar. The execution is flawless for both vocalist and accompaniment. The guitar has been miked in such a way as to bring out the natural acoustic sound of the instrument without a lot of cluttering string noise. If I have on criticism, it would be that the balance is slightly off. I would like to here a little more guitar coming through but that is my opinion. This is a great Ipod upload: enjoy!
