This review is from: Klax (Video Game)
Klax is an addictive puzzle game.
The play of this game goes like this... Colored tiles are flipping down a 5 row conveyor belt of sorts towards your paddle. Its up to you to catch them before they go off the edge. You can hold up to 5 tiles on your paddle at once. The object is to stack the colored tiles onto the landing pad below so that you match tiles by rows either vertical diagonal or horizontal. You get more points by creating certain type or quantities of Klax. As you progress through each level there are instructions to explain along the way. In each level the tiles come down faster than the one before. Eventually you'll go crazy trying to catch them all as you also try to figure out where best to stack them before you run out of room!!!! There are a few different versions which all play generally the same but with slightly different sounds or graphics. Personally I think the Sega Genesis version from the 90's was the best. The newer versions don't have the same cool applause or "yeah" sound effects like the original. As a teen I played this for hours. My favorite part was the game play sound effects. I don't much care for the more current version's music as it is very techno and not my style. The person who gave the game one star & commented that it was a dominoes game might be a bit confused regarding the actual game he received because I can tell you this game has nothing to do with dominoes. Its more of a tic tac toe kind of style if you ask me. For a sample of the version I use to play go to you tube and search: Klax (Sega Genesis) - Gameplay There are newer versions for DS & Gameboy too and I have heard that similar games exist under different titles. If you discover any please let me know...
