The item I received is not what is in the picture. The item I received is the newest model and not the last generation item pictured; which is what I thought I was buying. Very disappointed.

If you need accurate wire cutters, these are the only ones that keep a sharp edge and will cut the insulation perfect and not mar the secondary insulation or wire. They are the best and beat the competition hands down. Do no buy cheap wire strippers/cutters, they are just extra work..........BUY A KLEIN.............E FLOYD

Sent it back the minute I received it. If it had been the one pictured I would have kept it. The stripper sent had large cushion grips that interfere with it fitting into my tool pouch. Some people may like this feature and I am sure the stripper works great, although I did not test it. I have never needed cushion grip strippers nor does it make sense. After 14 years in the trade I can't remember ever getting blisters or sore hands from using strippers. If every tool I used had giant cushion handles, then I would need a suitcase to carry around the basic electrical tools of the trade.

Great wire strippers!
I am an electrician. I use this brand/model of wire strippers all the time.
They are the best I've found.

I have used Klein wire strippers for years, for both residential wiring and electronics. They have always cut straight through the insulation with no second guessing. I have no doubt this pair will do the same performance wise.

My gripe, and reason for knocking it two stars, are the handles. First star (and yes this is personal preference): while they may be more ergonomic to grip than the thin, plasti-dipped version, they are bulky, and don't slide easily into a tool bag side "pocket", or my own back pocket. Second, the grippy handle material, combined with the yellow, make them nearly impossible to keep clean. I'm not a neat freak by any means at work, but the old PVC/plastic handles wipe clean much easier.

I have had several different strippers of this sort and not only are these the least-expensive but they're the best! I've had $20 Kleins, $20 Craftsman professional, $35 Wiha's and overall I like these the best. The rubber grips feels very secure in your hand, the blades are super-sharp and strip wire easily and the short length makes these easy to handle. The only complaint I have is that there is no locking mechanism; I keep these in my tool box for the most part so it's not that big of a deal, but still, if they had a small lock like the Klein-Kurves then they would be perfect. For how good these are and how cheap they are I give them 5 stars.

I ordered this as a replacement item for same thought lost! About two days after placing the order for the replacement tool I found the 'lost' one.

The 'lost' tool had served me quite well over a period of several years which is why I ordered a duplicate to replace it.
