Up front this is a NON-IMPACT punch-down tool - It is in no way being advertised as an impact punch-down tool.

Take your time and understand the difference before you make your purchase decision.

For the casual user this tool is an "excellent choice and quite economical" compared to an impact variant.

Used properly it does exactly what it was designed for, it will set the wire in place and trim off the excess.

For the individual that may have to do 100 plus punches on an average workday though, you might consider a pricier impact tool.

I highly recommend this tool to any occasional use do it yourself-er.

As everyone said already its non-impact... that out of the way, i'm taking 1/2 star because the punchdown blade locks into place but can easily be loosened, i wish they had a better locking system.

Quickly:
1) Works great, as a security tech all i need is to punchdown a phone line to my panel from time to time.
Save your money and don't buy if you need to do punchdowns everyday.

2) If you have the Klein 11/1 screwdriver, the shaft is inter-changeable. The punchdown handle is a little bigger though.
**This was awesome because now in my pouch, i use the punchdown handle w/ the 11/1 shaft and i keep the punchdown shaft in my pouch, which takes up no room (or you can use the 11/1 handle if you prefer it)

Again, only issue I have is the locking system. Something tells me I will have to buy the replacement punchdown blade a few times.

First time using it, the multiple tips saved time. Great to have screwdriver blades along with the pucchdown. Easy to use, easy to change tips.

This works very well as a non-impact punchdown tool.

I'm primarily using it with a non-cutting blade (purchased separately) to gently set the wires in place on a patch panel, then going back and punching down & cutting with a Fluke impact punchdown tool. This product works great for this, but I believe it would also work great on its own.

Pros:

Comfortable grip, just like Klein screwdrivers
Accepts standard punchdown blades
Very good price for a quality punchdown tool

Cons:

Kind of heavy and bulky, I would prefer a smaller tool for setting the wires in place (but still, this is the best I've found)
This is a non-impact tool, and I think the impact mechanism probably makes for more consistent connections
