I ordered this product in March 2007 and loved it - no problems - perfect!
I reordered in June 2007 and discovered that they apparently "improved" the product with better absorbency and adhesive. However, the shields would not even stay put in my shirt - I finally had to remove them. Called Kleinert's who basically acted like I was lying that their "improved"...

1.0 out of 5 stars Wouldn't buy again, March 27, 2008

I tried using these on a white shirt for work one day, but ended up throwing them out before I even left the house. They were stiff, uncomfortable, noisy and worst of all you could see them through the shirt. Everytime I moved my arms (walking, picking something up, etc) I could hear them moving (think paper taped inside your shirt) and decided I'd rather hold my arms down than have co-workers hear and see them stuck in my armpits.

While a good idea in theory, the underarm shields are a pain to adhere (they can get stuck to themselves while you are trying to adhere them to the clothing) and the perspiration may 'leak' over the edges of the shield. I think biofeedback may be cheaper in the long run, and better for you too. :-)

2.0 out of 5 stars Hard to use, March 18, 2008
This review is from: Kleinert's - 24 (12 Pair) Disposable Underarm Dress Shields From Kleinert's From $4.79 to $24.99 (Health and Beauty)
This was a tough product to figure out. The pads are very thin, and not really formed to fit a shirt (circular in shape). I am one to not leave extra time in the mornings, so trying to put them on in the mornings is tough, and I sweat more than they will hold, so they don't really work for me. Once you put them on, your shirt will bunch up where the pad has stuck onto your shirt, which creates unnecessary discomfort.

2.0 out of 5 stars Could be better, July 8, 2009

I had used other products to deal with undearm's sweat but i didn't like the material that is used to make this one. It has 2 layers, one is an absorbent fabric and the next one it's a plastic wrap shield ( for the puporse of avoiding water marks if the first layer is soak)the thing is the fabric is not as soft so is a bit unconfortable and the plastic shield is noisy when is dry, however since I soak them fast the noise goes fast pretty quickly but even when is wet is not soft enough so it's a bit rough on the skin, and i had to change them once a day, something that i didn't have to do with other products. It's a good price for the quantity of shields but rather expend a bit more and get something more confortable.Last but not least it sticks pretty good to the clothes.

I sweat thruout the day and night and my work shirts are getting the worst of it. underarm yellowing and smell. I googled sweat help and somehow, many forms of shirt pads came up. some are stick ons, some are snap to bra. some are disposable, some washable. i bought both. this is the disposable stick ons. i wore them on my last flying job. wasn't sure how to apply the pad but one i aligned it to my shirt, it worked! i mean, i sweat still but at least my shirt is saved!
it's gonna be costly ultimately buying them all the time or....i'm going to try the washables next. see how they work.

but this will suffice for now. hope it works for you!

4.0 out of 5 stars For the Price of Beauty..., March 7, 2011

I've had sweating issues for a while. I am very thin, and only in my 20's. I've tried every single antiperspirant on the shelves to try to cut down my sweating (right now i'm using secret clinical waterproof). I wear short sleeved shirts all the time that are light colored. I got SO fed up with throwing shirts away after the 3rd wear because of stains or smells. I decided to buy these dress shields because they are cheaper than garment gaurds and here is what I've found out.

1. these things are to big at the tip if you are very small like I am. (I wear a womens size xsmall in tee shirts). What I do is apply them to the shirt, then simply snip off the extra hanging out of the shirt sleeve. works like a charm.

2. If all of your shirts are already tight, it will make your armpits stuffy-- but thats ok, it takes a little getting used to. They do absorb well.

3. you can NOT wear these with a regular white t shirt or yellow, or baby blue.... they will be visible! think like-- wearing a white t shirt or a white bra under a white shirt. I only have one yellow T shirt, so this wasn't that big of a deal for me. I also don't wear white shirts.

4. if you're shirt has a "stretch" in it, like the fitted t shirts I love to wear... getting them on is a bit tricky. There will be wrinkles left in the shirt maybe under the armpits but it won't really matter since your armpit will be covered most of the day. what I would do is apply in a T shirt the night before, so that you have enough time the next morning. They will not slip out and they stick perfectly.

All in all, these shields do what they are advertised to do. I will definitely buy more.

These are wonderful. My daughter uses them for her work clothes. They cut back on the wear and tear of her work outfits.

The product is perfect. It works exactly the way I had hoped it would. But the shipping was slow. It took over 10 days to get to me from the time I was notified that it was shipped.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not easily removable, October 4, 2011

This review is from: Kleinert's - 24 (12 Pair) Disposable Underarm Dress Shields From Kleinert's From $4.79 to $24.99 (Health and Beauty)
These worked ok until I tried to remove them. Each shield has three adhesive strips that basically melted to the lining of my suit jackets. This made them next to impossible to remove. After spending a lengthy period of time pain stakingly peeling away all the little shreds of plastic and glue left behind, the fabric is incredibly gross and sticky. I would not recommend this product.
