I used this to cover up a rusty circle around the drain on a 50 year old clawfoot tub.

After cleaning the rust with oxalic acid (not included) I used two-part epoxy putty (not included) to build up the surface for painting. After sanding and shaping the putty, I followed Klenk's instructions to the letter - with proper drying time for each step, including the five days before first use. (I did it just before vacation.)

The epoxy paint is tough to lay on smoothly; it is very thin. Watch your brushwork and watch your drying times between coats, apply the second coats after the paint has set up, but before it becomes too tacky to accept more paint.

The final finish is hard and useful.

However, it is very white - it doesn't matche the rest of the scuffed old porcelain color, which is no longer white after years of soap scum and Comet.
After a year, though the color difference has faded, or is no longer noticed, or the white paint has accepted it's own level of soap scum.)

I'm tempted to do the whole tub; but I don't want to look at brushmarks from the thin paint coats; my brushwork wasn't very good.

(Also, this is a paint, not a hard surface. If you are thinking of using it on the porcelain kitchen sink - don't. This surface is just a bit too soft for banging of pots and scraping of utensils. It is hard enough for a bath tub with dirty feet or a bathroom sink. Think "hard paint," not hard porcelain.)

It is just what I wanted for the repair, though.

I used this to cover up a sink bottom that was badly worn away by previous owners of home. Pretty complete kit. Claims to have a self levelling formula but brush strokes are quite visible. Overall better than buying a new sink.

Sink looks very nice now. I put as many coats as possible and took my time until I used up all the material. A major problem was that when I received the item, one of the bags of caustic material had half leaked-out during shipping and all over my table. So I did not get enough material to probably do the best job. And I had to be careful in cleanup. But my sink is nice; it is an old solid cast-iron sink that would be expensive to replace. I think the coating will be effective, etc. I have not actually put the sink in service yet, though...
