5.0 out of 5 stars Good product.
Unit arrived fairly quick. Regarding the installation-----if you are not handy, get a professional to help. The unit comes with the installation kit to connect both units.
Be careful when bending the pipes and when tightening the nuts(do not over tight). There are many youtube videos out there to help , so do your research. You'll need to rent or buy a vacuum pump...

1.0 out of 5 stars Klimaire 9000 Btu 16 SEER Inverter Mini Split Ductless Air Conditioner & Heat Pump 220v with free installation kit
Let me start of by saying that that the product listing page says this unit: Quick installation saving labor cost by fast coupling pipe for R410A & Power
That is far from true.
When you call up the distributor to find out how to install this yourself as that is not included in the instructions booklet, you will get a reply of "pull up the instructions...

Unit arrived fairly quick. Regarding the installation-----if you are not handy, get a professional to help. The unit comes with the installation kit to connect both units.

Be careful when bending the pipes and when tightening the nuts(do not over tight). There are many youtube videos out there to help , so do your research. You'll need to rent or buy a vacuum pump ($150), a manifold($95) & r410a adapter($15) in order to evacuate (vacuum) the lines before you release the refrigerant into system----this is a must! otherwise, the unit will not last. evacuating the lines is fairly simple--do your research. You'll need a power disconnect by the unit with fuses($20), UF(exterior) cable ($25) breaker @ breaker panel ($20), a pad to set the unit(415). All in all, I spent about $1000 to install this unit by myself----way cheaper still. Take your time.

The unit is working great in my daughter's bedroom --ice cold @ night. Be mindful my Padawans that this unit is Chinese-----therefore----chinese quality--and no parts. My HVAC engineer friend laughed @ me when I told him that I bought one of this units at this great price---he told me this units are disposable. I am hoping that he's wrong. Always use common sense, if you do not understand something, research it-there is help out there. The unit is working great, I won't know about the reliability of this unit until later.

Thanks

Let me start of by saying that that the product listing page says this unit: Quick installation saving labor cost by fast coupling pipe for R410A & Power

That is far from true.

When you call up the distributor to find out how to install this yourself as that is not included in the instructions booklet, you will get a reply of "pull up the instructions online".

When you read the installation instructions online you will find that the parts are numbered and lettered but not labeled.

That leaves me no choice but to e-mail the seller and here is their response:

Any AC unit should be started up by a A/C technician. The refrigerant lines should be evacuated by using a vacum pump.Once the unit is started up ,the pressures has to be checked by pressure guage and running amp should be also checked with a amp-probe.

Even it is easy to install with supplied pre-insulated and pre-flared installation kit and having terminal blocks on the units for easy wiring: to start up any split type A/C or Heat pump unit needs special tools and knowledge.

If you don't evacuate the system and get rid off the air and hummidity in the system you will have problems. You can refer to the installation manual.

Air in the system causes less cooling and high pressure, hummidity eventually freezes and blocks the capilary tube restricting the refrigerant flow eventually compressor failure. The minisplit unit can be started up in one hour and avarage technician charges 85-125/hour depending on your location. This will be a vise investment so please consider for your future comport.

Thanks

After calling an A/C tech and paying their installation and service fee it would have been the same or less expensive to have bought this directly from one of the local A/C companies.

Unless you have those special tools and knowledge and want to void you warranty I wouldn't recommend this as a do it yourself installation.

After the installation was done by the A/C tech I received another e-mail from someone with whom I never spoke. Here is a copy and past if you all are interested.

All in all there is more info on how to do the video than on how to install. lol

The unit does run quite and cool nicely but for the price it wasn't worth the hassle of the installation.
