I am thrilled with the sound from this little floorstanders. Clean and strong bass. Clear highs and mids. Match very well with low wattage amplifiers (ours is 50 watts per channel). They are slim and very good looking. Ideal for stereo listening.

Bought these speakers based upon a recommendation of a forum poster whose opinion I value. They are great speakers. Don't let their size fool you. Using for the front speakers in a home theater setup.

I really enjoy listening to these speakers. Enough bass, that I've declined to add a powered subwoofer to my system. But, that's just my taste. I would have loved to have 5-8 inch woofers, but I really don't have the space to put bigger speakers, so this is an ideal compromise for us. Clean, crisp sound, makes all my music, DVDs, TV sound better.
I had a JBL Balboa center-channel speaker, and it works fine, together with these.

I found a pair of Klips as great complements to my stereo system and also when hooked-up to your TV and blue ray accessories. It really magnifies the sound like you are watching a movie in theater

Before buying this speaker I did about 4 months of research to fit the specifications of my space, sound expectations, and budget. I searched forum after forum to gain more knowledge on this specific speaker but there wasnt much to go off of so I decided to demo the bigger brother to this speaker ( RF 82) just to get an idea of the sound klipsch was producing with its reference line. I was already familiar and quite fond of Polk and after hearing the 82's I was now fond of klipsch's precise sound as well, consider me officially torn. Past consumers and Audiophiles spoke highly of this speaker being a great sounding budget friendly alternative to more higher end speaker lines such as B&W and man were they right. Once these arrived the first impression was how beautiful they were, I quickly bi-wired them and connected them to my Sony STR-DE685 receiver (which is looked down upon by almost all true audiophiles but sounded excellent, and yes I've heard much more expensive receivers but still appreciate what this little foreign powerhouse can do) and was blow away expecting a much smaller sound, but received a full, accurate reproduction of music. Anyone second guessing themselves about this speaker is a fool because its a wonder overlooked by most due to its size but these speakers sound absolutely NO differeant that there big brothers aside from bass response and if your using a sub anyway then I would just get these............as I did! and couldn't be happier.

Yes, these are smaller than the current floor standing models from Klipsch and others. That's what makes them perfect for use is places and rooms where the newer models can not go. The sound for the price is out of this world. Very clear and still good on the bass.

I bought these just to use as rear and side speakers in a 7.1 system. I also tried a pair of them as front speakers, but that will not be a permanent position. They produce reasonably good sound. I do wish they were a little taller so that they would be more at ear level when seated. My plan is to purchase a pair of Klipsch RF-62 speakers and a RC-62 center channel speaker to complete the system. It is interesting to note the speaker frequency specification of these speakers is about the same as the $500 RC-62 center channel speaker. The overwhelming majority of sound in a movie comes out of the center channel and next from the front side speakers. Well, the subwoofer produces all the low frequency sound. I plan to get the RW-12d for the subwoofer. So if a person really believes the published frequency range specifications, he would use these RF-10 speakers for everything except for the center channel and subwoofer. I bought four of these speakers on a previous Amazon sale thinking I got a really good deal, but now the price is even $19 per speaker less than what I paid. So I think $140 per speaker is a steal. I am really tempted to purchase another pair for the front left and right speakers and depend upon the subwoofer to handle everything under 60 Hz.
Update: Klipsch now lists this speaker as a discontinued item. I still believe these are best suited for side and rear speakers. Currently, I am inclined to consider the WF-35 or WF-34 line of Klipsch speakers for the front speakers and subwoofer.

Just got these. Watching Predator on it right now and it sounds amazing! MW2 is even better but I think the bass might be a bit much playing the game. Tweeter produces great detail along with center and bass is awesome with the sub! Next step... Onkyo 7.2 with another sub! Currently running an old pioneer 5.1 receiver with a polk 10" sub, aperion 4c, and bose 201 for rears. My main issue other than too much bass (if there is such a thing!) is that the biwiring system is a pain in the butt. Otherwise, for the price... its UNBELIEVABLE!

Speakers are great, bad description on Amazon's part,

Klipsch speakers are simply amazing. I have had a complete set driving by a Yamaha amp for 8 years now. They still sound as good today as they did when I first bought them. The best way to describe the difference between a full Klipsch system and a cheap system you can by in a big box is that both sound good an low volumes but the Klipsch system will be able to sound good and hurt your ears at the same time. You will not be disappointed in your purchase.
Now for the poor description. Amazon is sell just the front floor speaker in this add but if you read their description it sounds like they are selling the entire 5.1 system since they talk about the fronts, center, surrounds, and sub all in the same paragraph. Amazon should change the description to match what they are selling. |
