Over six decades later, we’re putting the concert in your cranium. Klipsch Image ONE headphones seal in the legendary sound with noise isolation that lets you drink in every detail of your favorite music. Add a Soundtrack to your Soul
Catering to on-ear enthusiasts, the Image ONE headphones maintain the same high-quality sound signature and comfort for which Klipsch headphones are known while introducing enhancements in build, functionality, design and performance. The Image ONE features enhanced flat cabling—attached only to the left ear cup—for added durability and tangle resistance, as well as a flat-folding collapsible design for space-saving storage. The Image ONE includes flat earpads and an adjustable leather headband for optimal comfort and fit. That comfy fit not only feels good, but it also provides superior levels of noise isolation.

Front Row Center. Anywhere.
The Image ONE headphones come with a three-button remote and mic, so you can stay in control of your phone calls and playlists while still staying connected to the artists you love most- just like our founder intended. The Image ONE’s audio works with virtually any device that has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and features an Apple-based mic and three-button remote for taking calls and controlling music on iPods, iPhones or iPads. Located on the back of the remote is a directional mic for hands-free, crystal clear phone calls.

I am bad at writing so my thoughts will be random FYI. I was at a trip to Best Buy the other day and took a stroll through the headphone isle. I tried the many display headphones with my own source and was surprised that these phones were the best there. None of the headphones available were audiophile grade(expected) and prices ranged from $30-400. These managed to outperform every headphone in the store in my opinion with a pricetag of only $99@bestbuy vs $150@amazon. The headphones are very comfortable and lightweight. I especially like how the earpad makes contact with the entire ear unlike many that only have a ring of padding. They block out a lot of sound, even more than the noise cancelling headphones on display selling for $400 such as the plasticy mediocre sounding Beats. The sound is great. There is strong bass, life like and clear mids, and good highs that are slightly restrained so they are not harsh or give listening fatigue. I was listening at a loud store so there may be more bass than I heard so they are at least good for outdoors. The only drawback I would say is that they are made of plastic although they seem durable and are much better built than the competing bose OE headphones. In case it matters, I actually do know what good sound is like and own VMODA M80, UE700, Sony MDRV6, Grado SR80, Klipsh S4.

I want to respond to some of the complaints in the other reviews. First, a few comments and what I like about this product: There is no way these headphones deserve a one or two star rating. In my opinion, they are fully worthy of receiving five stars. If you compare them to $300 Bose noise canceling headphones, then of course they are going to fall short. However, for the price point, I don't think you can find better headphones.

PROS:
1 - Excellent sound. In my opinion, the sound is perfectly balanced. The bass is deep and strong, but not overwhelming. The mids and highs combine with the lows to produce what I like to call a feeling of "presence." The sound isn't stale like some headphones. As far as sound is concerned, these headphones even compete well with headphones that are priced higher.

2 - Comfort. I was unsure about "on-ear," supra-aural headphones before I bought these. I thought the around the ear, circumaural headphones would be much better. I was wrong. These are excellent. My wife had the same concern, but when her first comment upon trying them was about how comfortable they are. I wear these for hours on end and they don't get uncomfortable nor do they get too warm. Also, the way that the ear pieces can move lets you adjust the fit to your preference.

3 - Quality. These headphones seem pretty well built. Sure there is some plastic, but there is metal inside the band as well. The flat cord is great and the built-in iphone control is excellent as well.

4 - Noise "isolation." Note, these are not noise canceling, but they do a decent job blocking outside noise, even when you don't have anything playing. With even a little volume the outside world fades away. Also, there is very little "sound leakage.

Amazon and Klipsch Enthusiast,

I purchased a pair of these headphones at an airport in new orleans some months back. I used them with an Iphone and Macbook over a period of 3 months. The cost to sound equation of these headphones is very positive. They have equal sound to any bose or sure or beats i've tried. After some time of keeping them in the case the cord started to hold memory and kink quite a bit. I wrote a pretty positive and general email to the manufacturer and they quickly responded and offered to replae the pair with the latest version . I provided my proof of purchase and within a week I am loving the II's even more than the original version. Better design and comfort, maintain the sound and higher price design elements. I'll be a Klipsch company supporter for years to come as result of how positive their CS proved to be.

For the support alone coupled with product quality they have more than proven themselves a home run combination.

Thank you!

My original Image Ones fell apart after a couple years (the wire wore through), so I received a pair of the second generation from Klipsch under warranty replacement. At first glance, I was extremely pleased. The new generation is superior in all physical respects. The ear cups and headband are more comfortable. They fold up into a more compact bundle. The wire on the new one is sturdier and only to one cup.

This is where the advantages end though. The sound is FAR INFERIOR to the first generation. Bass is far too boomy, the high end is completely lacking. I am able use EQ to compensate for it doing so does yield a pretty good sounding headphone. I explained the issue to Klipsch support, their response was simply that they use the same drivers as the original version (as if the driver is the ONLY factor in sound quality).

So my advice- if you can live with the wire, buy the original Image One instead. As of this review, they are still available on Amazon.

Verified Purchase
I've had two sets of these headphones become unusable within 3 weeks of purchase--both with the same issue. The first set lost sound in one side after only 3 weeks of gentle use. I realize defective products slip through quality control, so I returned them to Amazon and got a replacement set. And now, the second set had the same issue--no sound in one side--after only 2 weeks of use. Good news, is that both failed within Amazon's return window policy, so I'm about to return the second pair and purchase a different brand. (I've had excellent experience with Klipsch headphones in the past, so I'm very disappointed with these.)
