Great sound for the price and size. Smooth response - no "hot spots." Vocals are rich and natural. Highs are clean but not obnoxious like some speakers with ultra hot tweeters. Bass is acceptable, given size and price. My only complaint regards installation - the ears which should turn as mounting screws are tightened frequently do not work very well - it is difficult to get them to engage correctly behind drywall. Once they do engage, the installation is fast and easy, and the installation looks good. The grills are "paintable," but it is easy to clog the openings with paint, so you have to paint with care. I had best luck using a roller that was really rolled out first, so that it was almost out of paint. Even then, I had to use a toothpick to clean out some holes while the paint was wet. To sum up - installation is not so good, but once installed, the sound is really good - better than the great majority of in-wall or in-ceiling speakers.

I got a super deal for these from Vanns(about 1/3 price of brick and mortar stores). Speakers were packaged nicely and I received them in a timely manner. I installed these as the surround sound left and right speakers in a 5.1 setup. These speakers are part of the Klipsch Synergy series so I also have 2 B2's, a C1 Center, and a KSW-10 sub. The KHC6's are driven by a Denon 889 receiver(100W x 7) and were set up using the Audyssey EQ feature.

This was my first in-ceiling speaker installation and it was a breeze with the included cutout template. The hardest part about the installation was trying to avoid hitting a beam in the ceiling so make sure you measure twice and cut once. Once installed, you just tighten the screws for a sturdy installation.

These speakers perform well as surrounds since voices/music sound crisp and clear. The ability to point the tweeters towards the main listening position is also a nice feature since it allows you to play with the soundstage to your liking. Bass output is adequate and I haven't heard any vibrations in the ceiling when I turn up the volume.

Overall, this is a really good set of speakers that provides a clean look once installed. The only negative is that the grills would be a hassle to remove if you ever wanted to. I don't see how you can remove them without bending or scratching them. Most people would probably install these speakers and never worry about removing the grills, so forget about this minor detail and get them!

When I had my kitchen remodeled, I decided to include in-ceiling speakers. The sound is great, rich enough to compensate for all the metal appliances and stone countertop. I priced these speakers in big box stores as well as on the Internet and no place was able to beat the Amazon price.

purchased the klipsch KHC-6 from amazon after seeing and hearing them in my local bestbuy. very smooth highs, and distinct mids for the rears in my 20'x25' home theatre. saved 220.00 compared to that retailer. delivery only took 3 days, and arrived in perfect condition. will definitely
do most of my online shopping through amazon from here on out!

I was not sure whether I wanted to try and install these on my own and was really freaked out when I cut a large hole in my ceiling but I'm glad I did it. It really was easy to do on my own. I figured I saved nearly $200 by installing myself. Speakers came with a cardboard template, all I did was trace it and cut it.
As for the quality of sound, the are great! I paired these with my Klipsch floor speakers and the fullness of sound now is so much better.

I purchased 4 of these speakers for my family room. The installation could only get easier if I had someone else do it. The speakers sound great and even made my wife into a believer. I have more locations to install and I will only get these.

These are some awesome speakers and a great buy. I purchased Klipsch KL-6502-THX 5-way white in-wall speaker for my home surround sound front speakers, Klipsch KHC-6 In-Ceiling Loud Speakers for my in ceiling center speakers, Pure Resonance Audio MC2.5WAM Mini Cube Speakers 2.5" Swiveling Surround Sound Wall Plate Mount for my rear speakers, and I topped it off with a Klipsch Synergy C-3 Center Channel Speaker and a Denon AVR3310CI 7.1-Channel Network Home Theater Receiver. Talk about shake the house! Each set of speakers is extremely better than expected, even the little Pure Resonance Mini Cube speakers put out unbelievable sound. Everything was extremely to install, considering the house was pre-wired for installation. I am definitely pleased with every component of this system!

i have this in my living room and my master bedroom. works great..great sound and for the price i paid.....i cant complain at all.

I am doing a remodel and wanted to add some flush mount ceiling speakers. My ceiling was going to be made of cedar, so I wanted some speakers that were either in brown or paintable. These Klipsch KHC-6 speakers came with a template for cutting out the ceiling hole as well as a painting mask for protecting the speaker when applying the paint. It was easy to paint the rims as well as the speaker grills before we put them in the ceiling. You can also use the mask after installing into the ceiling to paint both the rims and the ceiling at the same time, but we didn't want any paint on the cedar.

My electrician found the installation to be very easy. You cut the hole, connect your speaker wire, then rotate 3 dog legs grab the ceiling soffit. You then tighten the dogs until the rim and the dogs firmly sandwich the ceiling soffit. You can adjust the loudness level of the tweeter as well as the directional position, then insert the grill, and you are done.

We have these speakers in a vaulted ceiling which is about 20 feet above the floor and they sound great. These are 6.5" speakers with a 1" horn tweeter, and they handle 50 watts (200 watt max) at 8 ohms. You need to cut a 8.25" hole in the ceiling to insert the speaker. You also need to make sure that the ceiling material you are attaching to can handle approximately 2 lbs of weight without sagging.

I already have Klipsch speakers for my entertainment center so these made a perfect match. These speakers are very reasonably priced compared to many ceiling speakers I researched. I would recommend these to anyone.

I bought these speakers after reading reviews on just about everything that would have worked in my living room. I'm using them for all five of my in-ceiling speakers (front left, front right, center, and surrounds). I paired them with a Polk 12 inch subwoofer. The sound is much better than I expected even after reading the reviews. The quality of the sound in my living room exceeds the quality of sound in any theater that I've been in. No kidding, I suspect I got lucky with natural acoustics but I couldn't be happier with these speakers. There are two things I should point out. To start with these speakers couldn't be installed in most walls. They are too deep. My surrounds are in the wall but that part of my wall actually backs up to the attic. Obviously the speakers fit into the ceiling fine. Also be aware that when you tighten the screws that clamp the speakers onto the drywall it sometimes requires quite a bit of force to free the clamps from their housing before they start to tighten. Not so much force that you'll strip the screw but enough that you might think your hitting something behind the wall.

If I ever do this kind of project again I'm define definitely looking for these speakers.
