I had many headphones throughout the years, and I always settled down on Apple's <not so good> headphones - for one main reason: mic noise cancellation (more about that later). I guess most people are coming from the Klipsch Image S4i Rugged - BLACK All Weather In-Ear Headphones/Klipsch Reference S4 In-Ear Headphones (Discontinued by Manufacturer)/Klipsch Image S5i Rugged In-Ear Headphones with 3-Button Remote (Discontinued by Manufacturer), or even Klipsch Image X7i - Black In-Ear Headphones (I had them all), so I compare the 6i to all of these in terms of functionality, but mainly to the S4i since it's the most popular out of them all. The headphones were tested with iPhone 6+ and also Cowon iAudio 7 (which is pretty old and awesome MP3 player used to target audiophiles back in the days - I use it mainly in the gym).

The Good:

1. They sound very good for their price range (sub $100). I would even go further and say the sound is equivalent to headphones that cost $200-300 (since I tried some). They have quite deep bass (not like Monster headphones or Beats by Dr.Dre kind of bass, but overall quite good and balanced). Lows and highs are very good, but to have a full experience of that you need to use high quality audio recordings (320kb/ACC).

2. The cable doesn't tangle.

Let me start by saying that I've owned the S4i, the S4i II, and now the R6i. I loved my S4i headphones for a long time (near 3 years) before they crapped out on me. I decided to upgrade the S4i II thinking that logically they would be better. Unfortunately, they were not. My S4i II headphones sounded great (almost the same as S4i), but the quality of these headsets dropped. You'll read that many people, myself included, had to RMA these headphones. Fortunately for me, when I RMA'd them, Klipsch sent me a set of R6i headphones. So here's where the review begins.

The packaging is very similar to the previous 2 models. They kept the flat, non-tangling wire from the S4i II which I am very happy about as that was probably about the only complaint that I had about them. The ear pieces are standard, the come with 4 options, small, medium, large, and the ridged ones. It also comes with the little zipper carrying case. All in all, it's what I'd expect for a $75-$100 set of headphones as far as what it comes with. Build feels slightly more solid than the S4i II. They fit comfortably and prove noise isolation as long as you choose the right buds.

As for sound, the first thing you'll notice is that these are very bass-heavy. Now the S4 line has always been a bass-heavy line, but this is noticeably more. While I'm grateful for the rich bass in songs that are lacking in that department, if you listen to a bass-heavy song, it can get slightly murky and muddy on the low ends. For the most part, it is kept tight and punchy and you really get a great sound. Treble is not too dynamic and depending on your music tastes, I think most will appreciate that. I also think that in general, most will enjoy the quality you get out of these headphones. You hear every little detail and feel every beat.

IMO, Klipsch are the best sounding earbuds on the market. Sometimes I question the quality of their product because I've gone through a number of S4s in the last few years. Oddly enough, I have a pair of S2s that have outlasted all the S4s. I bought the R6s hoping for upgrade in sound and quality.

The R6s look heavy because of the flat, thick, sturdy wires. But they fit comfortably in the ear with no noticeable weight. They do tend to give alot of feedback when you hit or rub the wire against something, so I use the S2s or the S4s at the gym. After about 20hrs of breaking them in, the sound is slightly better than the S4s, and they sound nice with all genres of music. Sound is crisp and clear, with excellent balance between bass treble, and mid range. These are earbuds worth gettiing.

The three aspects of these headphones I will go over are Sound Quality, Headphone Design, and Klipsch Customer Service.
DISCLAIMER: I am no expert, just an average person who wanted some nice headphones that will last for some time that I wouldn't have to keep replacing.

Sound Quality
The R6's have deep and vibrant bass and I absolutely love listening to music with them. By far some of the best ones I've experienced. They also handle treble pretty well, but I think the defining factor would definitely be their bass quality. The noise isolation is also excellent--I can completely tune out my surroundings with these in and the volume generally isn't even turned up very loud.

Headphone Design
Unfortunately, here is the major flaw in these headphones and would have resulted in a 3.5 star rating, if that were possible. The cords are flat and tough and I doubt they'll be fraying anytime soon. They also look like they would survive a fair amount of abuse, but I don't really want to test that out. However, this flat design, as noted by several other people, has also lead to a LOT of friction noise. Any sort of rubbing or contact with these cords will lead to noise in the headphones, which is alright if you're stationary and not doing much, but kind of annoying if you're moving about. Furthermore, these do not stay in the ear as well as the S4i's, which are the pair I owned before. I think another review covered this point, and I would have to agree with him/her. Again, a fairly minor issue for sitting and working but more bothersome if you plan to use these for exercise or outdoor activities.
