Because of its high power-handling capability and unusually high sensitivity, the RC-25 can sustain significantly higher output than most conventional center speakers--an important consideration, since the center channel typically carries about 60 percent of the total energy in a surround movie soundtrack. It delivers precise, subtle and exhilarating sounds through dual 5.25-inch woofers and a 1-inch tweeter that has a light titanium-dome diaphragm and a high-energy, video-shielded Neodymium magnet. The tweeter is coupled to a 5-inch square Tractrix horn that boosts the driver's already high sensitivity while minimizing room interactions that cause loss of sonic detail. Flanking the tweeter are twin 5.25-inch polymer frame, Cerametallic cone woofers configured in a tapered array.
The RB-15 bookshelf speaker delivers sound through a 5.25-inch woofer and 1-inch titanium-dome tweeter that features a high-energy, video-shielded Neodymium magnet. The tweeter is coupled to a Klipsch square Tractrix horn, which helps increase sensitivity while minimizing the room interactions that blur the sonic detail and imaging of conventional speakers.
The Klipsch RS-25 surround speaker employ more compact-sized horns, enabling a reduction in cabinet width. Careful alignment of two controlled-directivity Tractrix horn tweeters, angled opposite one another on the cabinet flanking a central woofer, yields a 180-degree dispersion pattern, delivering a smooth, broad distribution of sound ideal for every surround-sound format and for music as well as movies. Low frequencies are reproduced by a 6.5-inch cast-frame, Cerametallic cone woofer. Flanking the woofer are twin 1-inch titanium dome compression driver tweeters with 4-inch square 90 x 60-degree Tractrix horns.
The compact RW-8 powered subwoofer delivers strong, clean bass from a decidedly small-footprint enclosure. And because both the driver and the port are at the front of the cabinet, the RW-8 can be placed back against a wall, deep into a corner, or even in custom cabinetry. The 8-inch woofer is powered by a high-efficiency amplifier, capable of 270 watts dynamic power output.
