These are great speakers. The Klipsch Reference series is not like the Klipsch Synergy series. The reference series are mid to high end home entertainment speakers that you have to get through an authorized dealer.

They are very well made with great components. These bipole speakers are wired in phase so both speakers output sound simultaneously. The back of the speakers have a hole to mount them on the wall. I am using two of these as my rear surround channel. The audio reproduction is better then any speaker I have ever owned. The speakers are very efficient and require little volume to get full sound. The clarity of music and movies is almost like you are in the room with the musicians/actors. I put in the Nirvana Unplugged in New York DVD and was saying to myself, wow, Kurt's vocals and acoustic guitar is so clear. I couldn't believe it. Then it gets better, one of the women on the set cuts through everything with an upright bass. The vocals, acoustic guitar, bass and drums still clear as day and the upright bass just shines through everything. The speakers just disappear into the wall and you feel like you are in the audience.

I finally completed my piece-by-piece home theater upgrade with the Klipsch RS-42 surround speakers and I couldn't be happier. The sound quality is amazing. I've actually caught myself looking around the room from time to time as sounds from my Blu-Ray movie move about the room. You forget you're listening to a movie!

This is particularly cool with my XBox 360. The video game sounds come through with such depth and clarity it's easy to get lost in my epic battle to save the Universe. lol

Definitely a great choice for smaller living rooms where top-grade sound is a must.

Very good surround speaker for the money. I have auditioned tons of speakers and klipsch referance in my opinion are the best bang for the buck.

Purchased my Rf 62's and these RS 42's from Sound Distributors . My first experience with Klipsch. I'm setting up a 10 speaker plus center and sub , using a Onkyo 7.2 110 X7 A/V receiver. I tried the speakers with my 80 watt Yahama. I'm sure once I get the new system hooked up and get some break in time, the system will sound great. Service and price from Sound Distributors was top shelf. Speakers sounded fantastic with the Yahama, can't wait to hear them with the Onkyo.

These speakers put out. Big money, big surround sound. Use on the sides, would be a waste in the back.
