5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive sound
I have had these about a year and mounted them at my bar area for use with the video system. I have heard others tell me how impressive they sound for their size, I agree. I would not use these as my main speakers for a home theatre but they are sure fine for a reinforcement for a computer or other area. For their size I have heard nothing better out there. You really...

2.0 out of 5 stars Loss of mid/high tones
I just purchased these speakers (pair) and returned them to the store an hour later. I play a digital keyboard (Yamaha Tyros 4) and use small speakers for entertaining in a hospital lobby. Though I generally use Bose 301's, I wanted something a bit smaller and for back-up for transport. These Klipsh when compared to the 301's were a desaster. I lost all the hign tones...

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Bookshelf Speaker, January 25, 2011

I am using a pair of Klipsch B-20s as the speakers in a stereo system in my dorm room. It easily outperforms much larger floor standing speakers. The horn for the tweeter produces loud and clear high frequencies without producing excess treble. the tweeter and the woofer are perfectly balanced with each other even at high volumes. There is also a good amount of bass for a 5.25 inch woofer, but this does not eliminate the need for a subwoofer.
Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent multi purpose speakers, February 3, 2011

Amazing product... Klipsch lives up to its reputation again. Dont let the small size fool you, for testing I had one of these running next to my tower Klipsch Synergy F-10 Premium 6.5-Inch Floor-Standing Speaker and the B-20 was keeping up with the big brother very well. I saw parts of an action packed movie so I can notice the weakness somewhere but it just blew me away from its clarity, rich sounds, diversity and crisp quality.

I bought them as the rear surround speakers and with F-10s in the front, B-20s in the back are a perfect compliment to my Klipsch collection. I am finally experiencing the sound as its delivered in the Klipsch world. Match it with a nice receiver and you will want to take it to the grave with you.

5.0 out of 5 stars ALL BUT THE DEEP BASS, June 12, 2011

The B20 is an impressive little speaker with very clear highs and smooth midrange. I'm finding things in old recordings that I simply couldn't hear before. Brass instruments sound great and female vocals are particularly good. Of course with such a small woofer you don't get those deep low frequencies .Though bass is better than you'd expect from such a small speaker. With a good little subwoofer however, you have the spectrum covered. Another thing I really appriciate is the efficientcy(92db). You really don't need to crank up your amp to get sound to fill a medium size room. Audiophiles may disagree and say that these speakers are not accurate or are maybe too treble biased. Sound is subjective but I believe I've heard many speakers that were much more expensive and much bigger that would be put to shame by a pair of B20s. At the end of the day you just have to hear and compare. At the very least these deserve a listen.

I am using these speakers as the front left and right surround sound speakers, they sound great, couldn't be happier with them, they look awesome when sitting on speaker stands. They produce very good clean, crisp sound.

Though I generally use Bose 301's, I wanted something a bit smaller and for back-up for transport. These Klipsh when compared to the 301's were a desaster. I lost all the hign tones and the midrange was like the speakers were playing in water... a muddied sound.

Maybe they are good for a rear surround system (though) not for mine, these sure don't reproduce music naturally or efficiently.

Believe it, I did a side by side comparison of these speakers verses my KLH Platinum series speakers that I brought from Amazon about 5 years ago. (I have reviewed them as well, so you can check that out too if you don't believe me)Their cost was less then 50 bucks. Same style (bookshelf speakers)

After plugging these speakers on A channel on my amplifier and plugging those on channel B, I played many songs. I used many different type of settings on my Onkyo receiver. I was amazed to notice that the KLH Platinum series speakers sounded just as good (if not better) then these speakers.

KLH Platinum series speakers were bright, had clear vocals and had crystal clear treble. These speakers sounded the same but with just a little more bass. (But you don't want bass from your front speakers, that's the job of your subwoofer.

I was extremely disappointed. They are going back tomorrow.

If you really want bookshelf speakers, look into other brands and look for deals. Use good quality speaker cable, 16 gauge or better and that will make a difference too.

These speakers are all hype but they don't really give a bang for your buck. I got them 100 dolalrs cheaper but still returning them because they are not worth it.

I hope you do your research b4 you buy these.

By the way I am not against klipsh, I think they make one of the best speakers, just not in favor of these bookshelf ones. I think there are other better and cheaper out there.

Why spend more when you'll have the same or better results?
