For the price, and being a powered sub, this is among the best in the market. Esp. if one was thinking of Bose, etc which are almost at the same price point

I absolutely love this sub. The sound is amazing and never leaves you wanting. A feature some may overlook is the IR port built in plus the availability to configure presets. Specifically, the two I use are Movie Mode and Night Mode. Ultimately, you can configure any of them however you'd like and the name is just a suggestion. I have an Onkyo TX-NR3007 feeding this and am a bit of an audiophile. Once I have my system calibrated, I don't like to mess with the levels on the receiver and screw up the calibration. This sub is perfect for that because it's also a reality that bass travels far and sometimes you may need less or none. With this and my universal remote, I can simply press "night mode" when my wife goes to bed early or any other instance and the sub goes nearly silent without the receiver's calibration being modified. The next day, simply pressing "Movie Mode" puts us back in business. There are a number of other controls that can be stored or even temporarily activated like volume, equalizer settings etc. I highly recommend this sub and for us, it has been well worth the investment. I have always been a fan of Klipsch and they did not disappoint. I hope they are able to retain that quality after their purchase by Audiovox.
