5.0 out of 5 stars A REAL HAIR SAVER

Some may call this a great dry shampoo, I call it a life saver or to be more precise a real hair saver.

I love spontaneous invitations - to go out, to come over, whatever. Only problem is those invites often come when my hair isn't at its best. There's seldom time for a shampoo and blow dry, but there's always time for Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat...

3.0 out of 5 stars This is a powder, not a spray
First things first. If it matters to you, KLORANE GENTLE DRY SHAMPOO - NON-AEROSOL SPRAY (as it says on the bottle) is NOT a spray. What KLORANE is calling a "spray" is actually a bottle of powder that you squeeze instead of shake to apply. You turn the cap to reveal the opening, and then you squeeze the bottle to force the dry shampoo powder out. The difference...

3.0 out of 5 stars This is a powder, not a spray, July 13, 2009

First things first. If it matters to you, KLORANE GENTLE DRY SHAMPOO - NON-AEROSOL SPRAY (as it says on the bottle) is NOT a spray. What KLORANE is calling a "spray" is actually a bottle of powder that you squeeze instead of shake to apply. You turn the cap to reveal the opening, and then you squeeze the bottle to force the dry shampoo powder out. The difference between a dry shampoo powder and a dry shampoo spray matters to me because it is much harder for me to control the amount of powder I squeeze out as opposed to a spray. I only need a little bit where my fine hair tends to show oil first: bangs, part, and crown. With this product, there is no way to apply such a small amount. When I squeeze the bottle, either nothing comes out or a large burst of powder comes out. (The main reason I pay more for dry shampoo spray instead of using the much cheaper, but effective, plain corn starch method is because I can better control the amount and placement of product I apply to my hair.)

Also, like corn starch, this product is pure white. My preferred dry shampoo spray (Rene Furterer Naturia Dry Shampoo) has a little bit of tint added which makes it look less, well, powdery, even after brushing the product out of my hair as directed.

On the plus side, the product works. I used this the day after I washed my hair to extend my shampoo, and it definitely eliminated the appearance of oiliness where I needed it to. Also, to me, this product has a pleasant, but almost undetectable, odor. (I like the undetectable part.) I had to bring the hair up to my nose to smell it so I could note it for this review.

Like dry shampoo sprays I've used and looked at, this powder contains the requisite usage cautions warning the user to apply only in a well-ventilated area and to be careful not to inhale the product. The warnings are another reason I prefer to use a spray. A spray is MUCH easier for me to control, both the amount and placement of application.

While this product is effective and smells right, it won't replace my current dry shampoo spray.

5.0 out of 5 stars A REAL HAIR SAVER, August 22, 2011

Some may call this a great dry shampoo, I call it a life saver or to be more precise a real hair saver.

I love spontaneous invitations - to go out, to come over, whatever. Only problem is those invites often come when my hair isn't at its best. There's seldom time for a shampoo and blow dry, but there's always time for Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk.

All it take is a few shakes of the shampoo, spray, leave on for about two minutes, and brush out. Heavy duty brushing isn't needed. For me with short hair the powder is gone after a few strokes. There's no lingering fragrance to do battle with perfume - only soft, clean, shiny hair.

This is one item I do not travel without. I don't want to spend my much anticipated vacation time worrying about my hair - Klorane Dry Shampoo to the rescue so I don't miss a museum, a monument, or a meal.

I had never used dry shampoo until my coworker suggested it to me (after I had complimented her hair that day). This product is great for a person who likes to go to the gym in the morning but hasn't yet showered and doesn't want to considering they'll be sweaty and in need of a real shower shortly. Once you spray it in and brush it through, it really does take away all the grease and gives your hair another chance. Works great on thin, oily-prone hair.

First things first. If it matters to you, KLORANE GENTLE DRY SHAMPOO - NON-AEROSOL SPRAY (as it says on the bottle) is NOT a spray. Nor is it a "pump" (as it says on this product page at the time of this review). What KLORANE is calling a "spray" is actually a bottle of powder that you squeeze instead of shake to apply. 5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing product for fine/thin hair, January 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have very fine, thin hair and it gets stringy FAST and requires washing everyday to look presentable. I bought this product after the editors of InStyle recommended it for gals with my hair type and I could not be more pleased. I have tried many other dry shampoos in the past with no success; Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk changed my perception of dry shampoos. I LOVE this product. It gives me freshly blow dried looking hair the day after my last actual washing and it lasts all day. I highly recommend it to my fellow fine haired sisters.

4.0 out of 5 stars works decently well!, November 1, 2011

This product is super worth it. Sometimes it's a little tricky to get all the powder out by the part of your hair, by brushing it out but if you add a little water it helps. Using a couple squirts of powder takes my hair from greasy and gunky to pretty fluffy and nice. I would recommend this for someone who's on the go and doesn't always have time for a full luxurious shower:) Would buy it again.

3.0 out of 5 stars works okay but not anything miraculous, September 17, 2011

Klorane gentle dry shampoo does what it says it does. My issue is with the packaging and wasted product, it is impossible to use just a little here and there. I guess its better than the aerosol dispenser that shoots off all the product into the lid.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best, September 12, 2011

This is unlike other dry shampoos. It cleans, shines, and "redoes" your hairstyle. Not powdery at all. Worth the money.

The volume of the powder is much than the aerosol bottle, but it is hard to pump up to the right place of the hair. My friend told me to use Faciano Dry Shampoo. It is very clean and only need to apply on hair. [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars I am addicted, July 18, 2011

This is the very best dry shampoo I have tried. It is very effective and you do not need to use much. It is easy to use and it doesn't have a smell I get irritated with the rest of the day. I have a sensitive nose. It makes my hair full of volume and it is great to use even when hair is clean - just to make it look thick and easy to manage. I have long, blond hair and I absolutely recommend it!
