When I first saw this I wondered how can it be a decent impact as small as it is? It's shorter than most 3/8" impacts and just a bit wider... I read some good reviews on other sites and thought I'd give it a try. The manufacturer rates it 400 ft-lbs of torque, which is a respectable number. Trigger is very controllable. You can apply just a bit of pressure and gently spin a fastener off (to keep it from taking flight when it comes out of the socket).

Passenger car lug nuts are nothing to this tiny impact. Did some brake work with it too, it ripped the caliper bracket bolts out with ease on the lowest setting. I did find its limit though, I have a 28 year old truck with some rusted up rear bumper bolts that are 19mm across the hex head.. With some PB Blaster and extended "hammering", this impact has gotten only two of the four bolts out so far. I'd be impressed with anything that could get any of those bolts out.

The textured paint finish won't hold up, after some use it shows "slide marks" where it's been on the concrete... I guess if you babied it you could keep it looking pretty, but it's not made to be toolbox jewelry. It's made to work and that it does.

I wish they'd make a similarly downsized 3/8" drive version... about 70-80% the physical size of this one with ~200-250 foot pounds of torque. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

This isn't just an over glorified toy, it's the real deal.... I'm a industrial maintenance technician who needs to be able to work in tight areas a lot, and the Klutch compact impact 1/2" drive is perfect. It has all the power I need, and is fairly light weight. This tool has all the same features as so-called top performance impacts but with out the ridiculous high price I highly recommend it for both home and professional use.

by far, the best choice i made on an impact. i work at an auto shop and my ingersoll rand 231 finally went out after years. i needed something more compact so i decided to buy the klutch. the very first day i got it, i unboxed it and was surprised on how small it was and didn't believe it would have enough power. but the first car i worked on to test it was a very RUSTY 2000 honda that needed all new brake lines which required me to drop the subframe AND gas tank for removal. this impact gun delivers a HUGE punch and worked great. i was surprised. subframe bolts and gas tank bolts even the rusty lug nuts came off like nothing. one con i did notice is that it really isn't quieter than any other impact. however it gets the job done and who really cares about noise. everyone at the shop wants to get their hands on it now. i would highly recommend to anyone that works on vehicles.

Pros:
-Great price and sufficient power for 90% of tasks.
-easy to use forward/reverse lever on back.
-hole on top, useful to hang tool on wall.
-light and compact

Cons:
-Not as powerful as say Ingersoll Rand 231, but I knew that when i bought it.
-Slightly louder than the Ingersoll Rand 231
-if you use a longer than 25' hose then i find it's not powerful enough. Stick with 25' or shorter, 3/8" diameter minimum.

Used this impact wrench for a couple of weeks now and I say I love it. The compact size really helps in tight spots when fixing cars. The build quality is excellent and it weighs the right amount to not cause fatigue. My co-workers love this thing too and want to get one.

*EDIT:* Its now over a year later, and I've returned the impact 3 times during the warranty period. The impact itself was a good impact when it worked. I was somewhat upset when I received a replacement that was different than the first I received. Why? Well, everything on the impact looked better at first and I was excited. Until I went to use it. The oil you put into the gun is directed to shoot directly onto customer's tires. To say I was irritated is an understatement. While I still recommend this to your every day garage mechanic, or someone who needs an itty bitty for alternators, brakes, and such I still advise this thing. Just know you're going to be spraying lubrication oil all over whatever it is you're working on. I did give it a 5* To begin with, but it breaking three times and the replacement shooting oil all over what I'm working on took it down 2 stars. It works so well, though, that 3*s is still what I'll give it.

Now, you for what you're paying, you're getting extreme value. Its 70 bucks(Or at least thats what I paid) and you get your monies worth.

I work at a Ford Dealership, and I mostly do light work like Brakes, Tires, Oil changes, Rotates, etc. So far I've enjoyed the hell out of this tiny little thing. I bought it as a temporary replacement for my old impact as it gave way. I figured I could use this small little bugger for those hard to reach brake spots and such.

Well, this thing has amazed me. I've rotated probably 50 or so wheels since I've gotten it, with about 10 of those being F-250/350s and E-350s and such. Not once has this thing batted an eye. Over 20 or so brake jobs, it hasn't flinched.

Now I'm not doing any heavy duty work with it, but its definitely holding up so far.
