Klutz Bead Rings

I was given this kit by a family member a year ago, and love it! I have made countless rings to give away, and spend hours creating new ones.

Now, a few minor problems that I discovered. While the wheel design is nice-looking, it is not very efficient. When I unpacked it after the holidays, I was shocked to find that all of the carefully color-coded beads had mixed together. While I recently finally put them back, the top of the wheel comes off easily, and will spin if I tilt it, causing the beads to spill out. It also doesn't do a great job of keeping the colors separate. I constantly have a couple blue beads mixed in with the yellow, for example. This doesn't bother me too much, but if you aren't careful, you will have a big mess on your hands.
Another tiny issue is that there is not enough wire to use up the beads at all in the set. I still have a fairly full looking set of beads, but my wire is almost gone. This could be easily solved by finding more wire, but it's slightly annoying that Klutz couldn't put another roll of wire in the package. Another issue I have recently noticed is that my wire has a tendency to break. This may be a fault of mine from pulling the wire too tight, or a problem with the wire, but I usually manage to fix the ring within a minute or so.

Other than that, I think that this is a great set. I have made at least 20 different rings, and plan on continuing to do so. I have gotten many compliments on my rings from friends, and they make wonderful presents for friends and family that aren't expensive but meaningful. If you or someone you know enjoys making jewelry or doing crafts of that sort, I recommend picking up this set. Klutz gives you multiple ring designs and explains the process clearly and thoroughly, as is Klutz usual MO. While you might be able to pursue this hobby without the kit, if you're a beginner like I was, it will be impossible to figure out without instructions.
