Klutz Melty Beads Book Kit

My kids LOVED this when they were younger! The beads are the right size for little hands (large) and the kids love creating the images in the book! These are not available in any stores that I have found. They are the larger beads than are in the store, which little kids have a hard time picking up and placing on the templates.

My son got this kit for his third birthday. He immediately started making the projects in the book independently, with very little supervision (minus the ironing, of course!) This is a great activity that encourages fine motor skills and attention to detail. My house is now full of my little one's "creations". The only problem is that this kit doesn't contain enough beads of each color to make all of the projects in the book. We had to substitute colors, and now I'm looking to buy more beads of this (larger) size. Also, make sure you iron the projects on both sides. If you only do one side, they will likely fall apart. Overall, great fun toy, 5 stars.

This is a fun activity for kids of all ages. I have even had adult friends (from other countries) who have never made these think they were fun! It is hard to make one that DOESN'T look good, and it isn't like you wind up with a huge project that you wonder what to do with when it is done!

A friend gave my 4 yr old boy this gift. I LOVE IT! He will actually sit still for an hour making creations. It is a great way to get through winter months. Make sure you iron on both sides to make it more durable.
