Klyamxx's Greatest Hits was just what the doctor ordered, being that I had destroyed mostly all of my old 'maxx cassettes! Klymaxx, as many of us 80s children remembered, were the forerunners in all-girl groups who spoke freely about self-affirmation and confidence--I called them the female version of "The Time". Klymaxx had tons of attitude, compliments of Bernadette Cooper, and a wide cross-over appeal as evidenced in songs like "Men All Pause", "Meeting in the Ladies Room", "I Miss You", "Mansize Love", "Divas Need Love Too" and "I'd Still Say Yes". Klymaxx's Greatest Hits even has the quirky single "I Look Good" taken from Cooper's solo album, "Drama According to Bernadette Cooper"--consequently it did have moderate airplay and breached the top 20 R&B charts--which argumentatively constitutes it as a hit.

***And to the reviewer who said that he/she couldn't believe Klymaxx was a real group based on a parody of them on SNL, you're obviously one of those Generation X'ers that listens to mindless rap and this new popcorn R&B music that's taken over. Let's see if 20 years from now you can call them classics!!!
Open your mind...not your mouth!!!!!!

I remember hearing Klymaxx's big hit back in 1985 titled "I Miss You". From that point I was taken by there wonderful sound. An at the time, I rushed out to purchase there 45's and I still have them to this day. I have always been a fan of Klymaxx and I will never stop. There other standout tracks include I'd Still Say Yes, Meeting In The Ladies Room,The Men All Pause,Man Size Love,and Sexy. My personal favorite song by the group is "I'd Still Say Yes". That song will always remain close to me. Make sure you pick up a copy of this album. This is the only Greatest Hits album by Klymaxx that includes all of the original songs on it. I recommend this to you!

I would like to say that this was a tough girl gropu back in the day. When this group had came out I was in the fourth grade and I had liked all of their music this is a great cd it has some good songs such as: Sexy the 12" my absolute favorite song by the group and Divas need love too, The Men all Pause, Meeting in the ladies room, their signature love ballad hit I miss you and the duet w/ Howard Hewett I'd still say yes this is a great album and I would definitely receommend this album to any old skool lover!!!!!

This was one of the best girl groups ever. It's really too bad
that they no longer perform. If you feel like dancing, listen to "Meeting In the Ladies Room". You can't help moving to the rhythm while you sing along.
"I Miss You" which was also one of their best love songs is included in this collection.

THIS CD OFFERS ALL OF THEIR SINGLES . MOST OF THE TRACKS ARE REAL GEMS . Although this greatest hits set by Klymaxx is basically from their 3rd through 5th albums (their heyday), they did make a slim presence before 1984 and got ignored as the very first black female band. BAND! I saw their video on MTV for "The Men All Pause" for the first time and I did just that, paused.

Not because of their (inner) beauty, but because of an all-black female band was unheard of ever and here is their very best, in 9 songs (one song solo by Bernadette Cooper "I Look Good"). "The Men All Pause" and "Meeting In The Ladies Room" showed that they've got the funk to make you dance in an uptempo style, while "Man Size Love" and "Divas Needs Love Too" show their crossover side. And don't forget those sensual ballads "I Miss You" and "I'd Still Say Yes", irresisible. And as Bernadette and Joyce "Fenderella" parted ways with Klymaxx for solo stardom and Lynn left because of...I don't know why, anyways Cheryl, Lorena and Robin said we ain't done yet with this, their last hit, the hip-hop beats and melting harmonies of "Good Love". Ouch!

There will never be a band like Klymaxx. A R&B/funk/ballad/pop outfit that made a staple in the 80's and 90's and in black history. This is a great summary of their best work to date. Although OOP (out of print), you shouldn't pass this part of (black) history by. We miss you Klymaxx.

This is so much fun to listen to. Takes me back to a very fun time in life. I was blessed to have grown up in the 80's!!!

"The Men All Pause," "Meeting in the Ladies' Room," and "Sexy" are enough to make this CD a worthy addition to fans of really funky divas. But I must give singular credit to one of the group's outstanding members whose solo effort "I Look Good" is included here: that is, the one and only Bernadette Cooper. This gifted songstress released a concept LP in 1990 entitled "Drama According to Bernadette Cooper." An unparalled excursion into the personality of an artist, this release features funk-laden, body-moving tracks designed to get one on the dance floor as well as tunes that slow the pace down with poignant and reflective words. With ample support from Teena Marie and Chuckii Booker, and what may be a "cameo" from a certain artist known by a symbol, Cooper scores a triumph.

i enjoyed this disc alot.this band could groove and give up the slow-jam.very talented and versatile.

(...)I didn't think Klymaxx was a real group. I thought it was a made up 80's group that Halle Berry did on SNL. But then I found out that they were a real group I just laughed!
