This Weather Guard two cross member aluminum all purpose van ladder rack is a hard-working, gutter mounted roof rack that is designed to carry all types of ladders and building materials. The cast aluminum mounting legs have been engineered with load bearing capabilities in mind and feature a wide mounting base for even distribution of weight. Extruded aluminum cross members feature a tubular design for maximum strength. The unique patented design adds critical support to cross member mounting sockets. Cross members themselves are a hollow "T" shape thick wall extrusion with a 1-1/2-inch wide payload platform. The "T" shaped channel cross member accepts 5/16-inch hex head bolts for adding extra accessories. Plastic cushions are added to the upright end hosts to protect the rain gutters. Additional tie down loops are incorporated into the mounting legs. All mounting clamps and hardware or stainless-steel. The distinctive red tips are your assurance of Weather Guard Equipment quality. This rack requires the purchase of an additional clamp kit for 1996 model year and newer Chevrolet vans.
