Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

Bridge is a famously challenging card game, one that’s next to impossible to learn without a whole host of visual aids. But books on the subject all too often seem to ignore this. Enter Knack Bridge for Everyone, which takes a step-by-step, visual approach to explaining the game clearly to beginners and intermediates. With 400 full-color photos, it begins with the rules and the fundamentals of bidding, play, defense, and scoring. Not only does it give you what it takes to hold your ground no matter what your hand, but it takes the bidding up a notch by introducing more bidding techniques—and strategies for winning.

Bridge can be a very difficult game especially when one has difficulty transposing book verbage to actually seeing the playing cards as they are played during the game. The visual of this book is such a wonderful aid to putting the play of the hand with a visual picture that it makes any explanation so much easier. This book is worth every penney spent and has helped me so much at the bridge table.

Clear, concise instruction on bidding and playing of the hand. The photos of various hands were very helpful in understanding the particular lesson being addressed. Also liked the yellow highlight summerizing each lesson. Feel this book is helping me become a more thoughtful player.

This is the perfect bridge book for me. I am a visual learner and the photos of the bridge hands made a big difference in my understanding. She writes simply, no extra words to confuse, with humor and well organized. She also covers the basic conventions that I will be playing. It's a good beginner book and I'm not a beginner. I've played for years but never had good foundation training. This offers that and more.
