The knee-support function of this product is OK. However, the material from which the strap that goes behind your knee is so rigid and rough that it tears up my skin. I must wear it over my pants leg. I've given up wearing it for this reason.

This year I started doing back to back classes at my gym that were very stressful on my knees, lots of dance moves, step, high energy, etc. I developed tendinitus so bad I thought I would have to give up the classes.
I bought this product for each knee and have used it three times at these classes. The first time I couldnt believe it, I was practically pain free the whole 2 hours.....the second time it was not as good, but I believe that is because I had them too tight (another reviewer cautioned against that), I used them today for the third time and it was just unbelievable again. No pain! I also used them this week playing a golf course that I walk, which normally causes me some discomfort....once again, no pain. I simply cannot believe how well they have worked for me. Just remember they do not need to be any tighter than necessary to keep them comfortably in place.

With soft tissue pain in the knee area, this device provided fairly good relief for day long use - just don't tighten excessively.

The product works well. Having had six surgeries on my two knees, the product keeps my knees supported while i walk long distances or jog. Basically very comfortable to wear as well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor design, January 1, 2010

I have suffered on and off from knee pain when running for a few years now. It seems to act up most when training for marathons. I have tried a few different knee straps to treat the problem - ChoPat, Mueller, etc. This one is the worst. I liked the idea of the V-shaped rubberized brace that can help your knee track more accurately. The problem with this brace is that the strap has no elastic. It is single piece of velcro and has no stretch. Thus it is impossible to put it on correctly. You have to make it either too tight or too loose

Since I suffered a difficult knee injury many years ago, I have been searching for a satisfactory knee brace. This product has fit the bill for me and I am very satisfied with its performance I play a lot of golf and it fits the need of a small unobtrusive brace that has worked quite well. I like the product so much, I plan on ordering another

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor design - broke in one week, April 27, 2011

I purchased this for knee pain in my left knee on the left side of the patella. Unfortunately, due to the design, it tightens more on the right side of the patella than the left because that is where you cinch it down. I had to tighten it a little more for it to help on the left side of my patella, but it wasn't excessively tight. However, after one week of use, the small plastic piece holding the strap on the right side broke off. It is very thin and doesn't hold up to much pressure.

This would be a great item if not for this doubly-bad design flaw. If you could cinch the straps on each side it would be possible to get good support on the left side of the patella as well as the right, and if it were shaped the same on both sides instead of the useless small plastic bridge the velcro loops around, it would hold up to a lot more use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mostly pain-free again, June 14, 2011

Before I got the kneedit, I could hardly walk. A week later, I'm able to play tennis, walk, and do the stretching and strengthening that will help my knee recover completely and make the brace unnecessary.

Update 8/16. My knee still needs the support of the kneedit when I'm playing tennis. I'm bone on bone in my knees, and the kneedit keeps the kneecap from moving in directions that cause pain. When not playing tennis, I don't wear the kneedit. I'm able to go up and down stairs pain-free.

Stretching of the quads and hamstrings, as well as strengthening of the inner quads, goes a long way in making the knee pain-free.
