He loves to play with it, each piece connects easily and offers a lot of options. Age recommondation 3+ seems approbiate. My son is almost 4 years old. I have to say, as much as we like it, I would have not bought it, if it wasn't on sale at the store I got it. The case is perfect for storing all the pieces afterwards, and hopefully we won't lose one ;-)
