This call was recommended to me by a guide on a goose hunting trip in central Illinois, Jan 2010. It's a great first call for a novice goose chaser. The included DVD covers the basic sounds that are commonly made with the call but doesn't delve too deep into calling strategies.

The call is OK to use but I found it does need tuning out of the package. I had to shave the reed to make it easier to call and set the wedge up about 1/32" to raise the pitch a bit more. I had difficulty getting it to sound properly from new but did come around with some tuning. It does sound great now though

Ritchie McKnight DVD is incredible. He's a world-class caller and really makes this easy to set up and use.

Now, to the reason I will NEVER buy another K&H call. I dropped my PIT BOSSS after my first hunt and broke off the horn so I emailed customer service to buy a replacemet white part. I received a reply, in 15 words, that will make sure I never buy another call from them. "We don't carry replacement parts for those. You will have to purchase a new one.". And it was that dry
