This book is truly an inspiration! It was like having a one-on-one conversation and watching an edge-of-your-seat movie at the same time. Even without personal experience to relate to, this book explored the fine line between how what we want and wanting to do the right thing can cloud something that hurts us. I felt invested from the very first page and realized how powerful it is for Erin to share her own story so openly so that others may know they are not alone. You cannot help but feel empowered by her strength.

I read this book in two days, couldn't put it down. See, I knew the author growing up,and of all of the girls in our "group", she was the one I would have least expected to be abused. She was the one you went to for advice about a relationship. So, when I read the book I was amazed that someone so careful got caught up in such an abusive situation.
The book shows you just how easy it is to be mislead. So, it's interesting how Erin brings in things she didn't notice but should have at the time it was happening. She brings very good resources so that others can pick-up the clues and not go through what she endured. It's a book that I'm having both my daughters read. Thank-you Erin.
