From Booklist

A promising match turns into a bitter misunderstanding when young Edouard de Lanceau makes a bet to steal a kiss from Juliana de Greyne, his potential betrothed, and is forced to confess his actions were a ruse. Years later, though more tender feelings still lie beneath the surface, fate conspires to keep them apart when Edouard is tricked into a betrothal by Juliana’s sister Nara. However, when Juliana is attacked and loses her memory, Edouard finds her still alive, and dares to hope at a chance to make amends. Kean continues the sword-wielding adventures first told in A Knight’s Vengeance (2006) and A Knight’s Temptation (2009), delivering more of her winning brand of medieval lore kissed with Hollywood drama, and complete with the return of the diabolically over-the-top Veronique. Readers will root for the intrepid couple, and take with them a warm feeling at the conclusion of this sweet romance. --Nina C. Davis

A damsel in distress and a rogue who isn't quite what he seems. This is the story of A Knight's Persuasion.

I'm normally not much into historicals because I like stories with a spicy angle. This story goes against the grain for me in a good way. Catherine Kean's method of storytelling drew me in immediately, making me want to know what was going to happen next. I started A Knight's Persuasion and in a matter of hours, had it finished, not wanting it to end. Ms. Kean writes in such a fashion that I felt like I was right there next to Edouard and Juliana.

Edouard isn't the man he seems and it's a great change of pace. I liked Juliana's pluck. There is a sizzle of unspoken passion between them, even early on that I wanted to see work out. I found myself rooting for them over and over.

But just when I thought I had the story figured out, Ms. Kean threw in a curveball that kept me on my toes. The subplot is complicated, but makes the tale rich. I loved that Edouard's family couldn't make things easy for him and Juliana, making both characters relatable. The antagonist, though mean and nasty, enriches the plot, making me want to read more.

If you want a story that will stay with you long after the last page and characters that feel like your friends, then you need to read A Knight's Persuasion.

This is a full length, very exciting, sometimes funny, medieval romance. There are no sex scenes, but lots of passion and a few lustful thoughts!
Edouard is on a mission for his father, when he rescues an unconscious Juliana from an icy grave. Once upon a time, they were expected to marry, but he was trapped into a betrothal to her scheming sister, Nasty Nara.
Juliana awakens to find herself a prisoner, locked in a strange castle, alongside a chained Edouard. However, she has lost her memory and doesn't know if he is friend or foe!
This is the 4th book in the "Knight's Series", and I've loved each one of them! They can be read as stand alones, because the author does a great job giving enough of a background without boring us to death, but you should start with the first to get the full impact of the characters, especially the wonderfully wicked Veronique. The men are sinfully handsome, the women are beautiful and strong, and the villains are so... villainy!
These stories are very well written, and captured my attention from start to finish, all at a great price. I'm so looking forward to Book 5. I knew I liked that boy!
The "Knight's Series":
A Knight's Vengeance
A Knight's Reward
A Knight's Temptation
A Knight's Persuasion
Also recommend from Catherine,
My Lady's Treasure and Dance of Desire - Full length, very exciting, little sexy, medieval romance.

A Knight's Persuasion by Catherine Kean
Medieval Historical Romance - May 1, 2010
5 Stars

A Knight's Persuasion is the forth book in Catherine Kean's Knight Series about medieval knights and the ladies that they fall for.

A Knight's Persuasion tells the story of Edouard de Lanceau son of Moydenshire's great Lord Geoffrey de Lanceau who while riding to an important meeting on behalf of his ill father, finds an unconscious woman lying in the river. He is shocked to discover its Lady Juliana de Greyne, the woman he was once almost betrothed to. Despite an unfortunate incident that put an end to any betrothal between the two families, he has never forgotten Lady Juliana. After finding her, he is compelled to protect her when they both are put in danger. His father's enemies will do anything to destroy them and Edouard vows that he will do anything needed to protect Lady Juliana. The story includes a very interesting subplot involving Edouard's father and his enemies led by a woman who was once his mistress but who now seeks to destroy him and all he holds dear.

Catherine Kean does a fabulous job of creating characters with an interesting and remarkable past which makes them fascinating to read about. Edouard and Lady Juliana are both characters that are both very attractive characters in heir own, but become even more compelling as they are forced together and must rely on each other for their very lives. I really liked how both Edouard and Lady Juliana experienced normal failures that made them more human and appealing to read. Edouard is someone I could easily relate to. I also enjoyed the subplot stories that involve Edouard's father's enemies. These characters definitely had a past which made their lives a rich and multi-layered read.

Even though this book was part of a series and this was the first book I have read by Ms. Catherine Kean I was able to understand the plot of the book. This was a very good story with lots of sexual tension between the hero Edouard and the heroine Juliana. Even though Edouard come across in the beginning as an arrogant lout leaving less to be desired in his behavior towards Juliana and attempting to kiss her which goes horribly wrong. This sets in motion the main point of the book causing Edouard and Juliana despite their strong attraction to each other actually to avoid one another. Edouard actually grows up and changes as the book progresses feeling some guilt, agreeing to marry Juliana's sister Nara and wanting to apologize for all the things he has done to her but things aren't always as easy as they seem eventually there is a happlily ever after for Edouard and Juliana.
The villians Veronique and Tye are just incredible. Their characters are very well-written that in some parts of the book I was actually rooting for them. Both of them are wonderful in their deviousness and machinations driving the story Edouard becomes a much better chivalrous guy attempting to protect Juliana and Juliana in spite of her amnesia is a very brave courageous woman.
Why I rated this book four stars is that I did find it hard to believe that even though Edouard and Juliana are laying together to keep warm they don't try to at least steal a kiss or do something at least a little physical besides Juliana accidently touching Edouard's left thigh or manhood. It just seems that both of them are just to immaculate in avoiding a physical relationship even though they both desire and think constantly about wanting each other but do absolutely nothing about it.
