4.0 out of 5 stars 2 Player Fun, pure and simple
Capcom knew how to make great games and this one is no exception. Set in the world of King Arthur, you can control one of three knights (Arthur, Lancelot, and Percival), each with their different statistical traits.

This game is more fun with two players. When you're playing by yourself, it's not quite as fun due to the difficulty level of the game. Nevertheless, a...

2.0 out of 5 stars Your standard arcade beat-em-up with a midieval flavor
This is a side scrolling arcade beat-em-up game along the lines of Double Dragon. You start by selecting one of three knights and then proceed into King Arthur's world to beat bad guys, knights, collect gold and save damsels. This is NOT a roleplaying game. There is not too much new here, other than the theme is set in medieval times! The big thing about the game is a...

This game is more fun with two players. When you're playing by yourself, it's not quite as fun due to the difficulty level of the game. Nevertheless, a superb multiplayer game. Don't listen to the reviewer below that calls this a bad game. This one's a classic and a must-have for any Super NES library.

4.0 out of 5 stars Capcom clones another fantastic beat 'em up!, March 22, 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Knights of the Round (Video Game)
I've always looked at this game as Capcom's apology to anyone who spent hours of there life wasted on Super Ghouls And Ghosts, which although technically sound and at first seemingly fun, can take you the same amount of time to pass the first stage as it would to conquer Knights Of The Round in it's entirety. Now that that's out of the way, Knights Of The Round is a classic Capcom clone(in other words, the result of taking there Final Fight game and interchanging it with any number of licensed{The Punisher, Dungeons And Dragons} and unlicensed{Captain Commando, The King Of Dragons} properties), so it plays just like any beat 'em up should. You choose one of 3 characters(Arthur, Lancelot, and Percival) who have varying degrees of speed an power, and set out to reunite the land-- not with diplomacy mind you, but rather by bashing the attack button on your controller as hard and fast as possible! And that's basically it, though Capcom did throw a handy block button in to mix things up a bit. The graphics and music are also trademark Capcom quality which help round this out as one of the top beat 'em ups for the Super Nintendo. The only real negatives about the game are that it can be beat in about an hour, that it plays much better with 2 players(so if you're an only child, friend-deficient, or live in the middle of nowhere... this game may lose some enjoyment), and of course, that it's a beat 'em up-- which means walking from left to right and pounding various goons into dust-- I like it, but it's far from a deep or engaging genre. If this is your type of game though, Knights Of The Round is an absolute must play/buy!

There is not too much new here, other than the theme is set in medieval times! The big thing about the game is a challenge, but arcade games are meant to eat your quarters. Cool graphics though, two players simultaneous. If you love arcade beat-em-ups and need to try something different, this game is for you!
