4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the price! November 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've finished the set and have somewhat mixed reviews...I'd give the set a 4-star because I did find some problems with two of the books.

First, I did love the books by Kean (Knight's Reward) and Domning (Summer's Storm)! Both these authors are favorites of mine - Summer's Storm is part of Denise Domning's Seasons series, which, if you haven't found it yet, find it! All are stories about members of one family, so they link together, but can be read in any order. She is very knowledgeable on medieval English/Irish/Scots history. Kean's Knight's Reward was an excellent story and well-written, with likeable characters. The author knows her business!

Knight's Victory is Eliza Knight's contribution to the set, and has a good base story, but has some spots where the language is weird or missing, plus words mis-used. (Example: teaming instead of teeming) The other problem I had with this one is the length and detail of the bedroom scenes - 10 or 12 pages at a time is waaaaay too much information! Skipping lots of that, it's a good read.

Knight's Honor - Well, the story is somewhat different and interesting, but the action is so intense that you are exhausted by the end of the book! (They are attacked by no-goods, kill a couple of the bad guys and escape to the forest, where they are again attacked, kill a couple of them, escape to the inn in the next town, where they are attacked, kill a couple of them, and escape to the forest, where they are again....) The other thing that I didn't like is that no medieval lord or lady would name their daughter Taylor. Please! That is an early version of Tailor, so they might as well have named her Chandler, Farmer or Seamstress. Ain't gonna happen! And the heroine uses modern-day slang. It also leaves several unanswered questions.

But the set is certainly worth the price, so I recommend it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good set of books December 19, 2013
By Katie
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I liked these books a lot. I found each one to be well written and entertaining. Given the era of these books and their knight themes, most of the books centered around damsels in distress, except one. This set is worth the money and especially don't hesitate if it's on sale! Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Medieval Romance Collection December 9, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Usually when you get a collection by different authors you expect the quality to vary. That wasn't the case with this selection. All offered intriguing premisses, carefully crafted and wonderfully convoluted plots, realistic characters and plenty of adventure mixed with the romance. The ghost in the final book was a bit of a stretch, but it was a minor incident in a great story. This is a set any fan of medieval romance should enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Named in anger December 8, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A great read. This one was so hard to put down I finished it in two readings. You cannot help but cheer for Temeric and Philippa. This love they have for one another just can't be wrong. A great ride filled with torture, hatred, abuse, love, sacrifice, tenderness, and justice. Completed finally as it always should have been. Loved it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Knight's of Valor April 2, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I thoroughly enjoy reading historical fictional novels such as the 4 in this box set. I really loved all the characters, and unique stories. I have read most of the books Denise, Catherine and Eliza have written and enjoyed each one, but I can now say I found another awesome author to follow, Laurel. Thanks ladies I could not put these books down. WENDI :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Good stories Strong females and Hunky males February 21, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
How can you miss? I really enjoyed this widely diverse and fun collection featuring some gifted writers who, if they weren't faves before, have earned new status in my bastion of favored authors. Catherine Kean and the ladies will keep your appetite for historical romances sated for a few lovely hours of damsels in distress and heroes to the rescue, and the occasional plot twist just to keep it interesting. Enjoy!
