I knit shawls almost exclusively since my knitting is for charity and a shawl fits anyone. I really enjoyed the book because none of the patterns were particularly difficult but all held my attention. Some were more lacy than others but all were in DK, worsted or bulky weight yarn which is what most people have on hand. The one thing I would have liked to have seen is charting in addition to written instructions. It took forever to get used to charted instructions but now I like them better and I think the wording for the written instructions could have been a little clearer but overall it a good book and I'd buy it again.

This is a necessary buy and a great addition to your knitting library. The shawl patterns are all beautiful. It contains knitting references in the book which is signature of Leisure Arts. If you are a beginner to advanced knitter this is a keeper. Enjoy. Valis

This is a very good book. I like the size as it fits easily in my knitting bag. I also like the fact that it is spiral bound as it stays open to the page I am using. There is a variety of difficulty of patterns and the patterns are beautiful.

I was interested in this book because it said "Knit" patterns for prayer shawls. At first I was disappointed because I don't use the fine yarns that some of the shawls were knit with. But as I took more time to look at the book there are a lot of patterns that I can use with bulky yarn. Some of the shawls are so pretty and lacey, they would make a wonderful gift. I'm glad to have this book in my library to refer to.

I like most of the shawls in this "book" a couple of them are very pretty and you can make them with different yarn to get different effect. It's also easy to follow directions. Everything is written down so there is no diagrams here. I used this book when I was new to knitting and it gave me confidence to finishing and making beautiful projects. There are 15 shawls and wraps in the book, I changes a lot of the yarns because I didn't like the look of them in the book. So in my case I had to look beyond the yarns.. I think its worth 10 bucks especially if you're not good with diagrams (yet!) but still wants to knit.

Can't wait to try some of the patterns. Have been making prayer shawls for
our church for 5 years now and am very impressed with what I found in this
book.

what a wonderful collection of knitted shawls. This is a good collection of varied-shaped shawls. The one featured on the cover is my favorite and I've knitted this several times. Many more projects on the way.
