Book Description

October 11, 2005
Knitting is the latest craze in suburbia. Previously knitting was a hidden pastime, executed only in the privacy of one's own home. Now you can be unashamed, and knit in public places, with these new tools for survival in the rough and tumble world of suburbia. Create a bikini for your next poolside party in the neighborhood or make your living room more festive with knitted speaker covers. Other projects include potholders, flapper nightgown, and tea cosy.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Like It!!, December 27, 2005
This review is from: Knitorama: 25 Great & Glam Things to Knit (Paperback)
It's odd, it's different and it's British - what's not to love?!? Very neatly packaged book with a good informative section and accessible projects which some might view as oddities, however I have state - just how many sweaters can a person own and use? Sometimes it's good to get off the beaten track and do something different. This is it.

5.0 out of 5 stars It doesn't have to be functional to be fun!, January 19, 2006
This review is from: Knitorama: 25 Great & Glam Things to Knit (Paperback)
I am a very beginner knitter and have been uninspired to improve my skills with the more functional books and patterns. This book with it's crazy, fun and non-funtional projects is just what I needed to inspire me. Who says everything you knit has to have a specific purpose? Lighten up, people! The imagery is fun and eye catching and I love the wacky models - you can tell the author and all those involved had alot of fun putting this book together. And P.S. - the rounded corners are such a nice touch!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great gift!, December 8, 2005
This review is from: Knitorama: 25 Great & Glam Things to Knit (Paperback)
I sent this book to my cousin who is a big knitter (she was knitting during our family Thanksgiving) and she LOVED it! She was so excited to create some of the great ideas from the book and was really motivated by the author's creativity. This is a wonderful, low cost gift book for any knitter you know.
