Not Quite What I Was Expecting,
By
This review is from: Knitter's Bible Afghans & Pillows (Paperback)
While this book had excellent descriptive explanations for knitting features, ie; making bobbles, differences between yarns (this was especially useful as it showed the same patterns done up in varying yarn compositions, and needles sizes, I was disappointed in the patterns. I found most dull and not what I would expect from the descriptive written material. Still, I would recommend buying it. It is beautifully layed out and photographed. I would recommend purchasing just for the written portions and illustrations. I always pick up more knowledge from almost every knitting book I purchase as each witter has something new to share.

Disappointing,

I agree this book's patterns are very disappointing. The book has beautiful pictures and the author is obviously knowledgeable about stitch patterns and yarns but the projects are often silly (knitted wall panel) or impractical (seat cushion cover) or absurdly expensive (afghan that requires 36 different balls of yarn). This book is definitely not worth the money.

BEST FOR DESCRIPTION AND VISUALS,
This review is from: Knitters Bible Throws & Cushions (Knitter's Bible) (Kindle Edition)
This was a great book, very concise, thorough and exptremely helpful for a beginner like me to learn even more about knitting. I have been able to perform the basic knit and purl but beyond that and terminology too, wow, this book was great.
