Book includes some really interesting projects in all types of accessories such as hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, shawls, etc. My favorites are lacy shawl, sideways knit scarves, cashmere set of gloves, hat and scarf plus corsage, mitred squares scarf in Noro Kureyon, magic mitten gloves (gloves can also be mittens) on the cover, cabled poncho and laceweight wrap. Beginner info is at the back of the book and the exact yarns are listed there also. The patterns only describe the yarn; e.g., chunky, bulky, etc. Author is English so most of the yarns are English but the terminology is the same for America and England. Level of difficulty is not indicated but most knitters will be able to do the projects. Highly recommended as a lot of the projects can use stash yarns.

This is another hit from the Knitters Bible series. It contains great patterns, lots of ideas about using textures and colors, and beautiful photography. It has something for everyone from beginners to advanced knitters. Highly recommend!

perfect compilation of patterns!,
This review is from: The Knitter's Bible - Knitted Accessories (Paperback)
These patterns are easy to read and follow and this book really provides great accessories you can knit for yourself or for gifts! I found the yarn suggestions especially helpful - the book gives one yarn and then other options and explains how the look and feel of the item will change. I got this and 'fitted knits' and both books are great!

This is, by far, the best pattern book I have. The creative juices have been flowing and have produced some wonderful fabrics. I have looked at my stash anew. My only regret is that because I prefer to knit in the round, I had to convert her flat patterns to circular.

I made the mittens right on the cover and they came out great. I really liked making something like these using just 2 needles. I think it prepared me and boosted my confidence that I could try double points or circs and I must say I am noe smitten with mittens and the book has many many other projects that are sooo beautiful and beginner friendly I think.

I am loving this book. I keep flipping through it trying to figure out what I want to make first :)
I am on the new end of knitting and yet this book provides projects that will take me from a straight garter stitch on to a more complicated/beautiful cable. There are: hats, scarves, shawls, ponchos, gloves, mittens, wrist-warmers and more. My FAVORITE part of the book is that it tells you the type of yarns used, (DK, Aran, etc.) so you may choose your own yarn. Many of the knitting books I see have the yarn specified by manufacturer, weight and color. I like this author's approach so much- she gives you the information you need to choose what you'd like to use. I find this SO helpful! (The actual yarns used for each project are listed in the back, too, if you'd like to go that route- which is nice cause the author's choices are good ones) If you're in to hats, gloves, mittens and other such accessories, I'd say buy this book, you won't be disappointed. It is very well done.

What a great book!!! Chock-full of beautiful accessory items to knit and none too difficult to complete in short order.
I am planning to make several of the projects from this book and hopefully make a serious dent (LOL) in the stash I have been accumulating for waaaaaaaaaaaay too many years! I really love the: Smart Girl Gloves (sans the button detail, just a bit much for me), Magic Mitten Gloves, so cute and worthy of being featured on the front cover and the Autumn Leaves Hooded Poncho (more of a capelet) very pretty. Directions are consise, easy to understand and complete. And fun, fabulous variations abound with yarn suggestions and drawings/gorgeous color photos for most projects. I will surely enjoy this book for years to come. Worth every penny

Great Book for beginner or intermediate knitters.,
This review is from: The Knitter's Bible - Knitted Accessories (Paperback)
This book has lots of scarf and glove projects and tons of great information on stitches, types of yarn and how to use the same pattern with different yarns to create a new look. I made the fingerless gloves and they came out great.

I bought this book as a gift, but looked thru it first! Many interesting designs most with good directions and explanations of different stitches and techniques. Written by an English woman so some terms are different for U.S. knitters. The person I gave it too loves it!
