5.0 out of 5 stars Knit a sweater in one piece!
This is a great book, with interesting sweater designs, luscious photos, and clear illustrations. The chapters give easy to understand lessons on guage, yarn selection, reading stitch charts and using scrap knitting, (great information for any knitting project) not to mention knitting and finishing techniques for knitting a whole sweater from one cuff to the other...

3.0 out of 5 stars Sideways knitting
Generally liked the book, basically all the sweaters are made the same except for type of stitches. There is a small bit of info after in the book about converting the patterns for machine knitting. As a machine knitter, I was hoping for more on machine knit patterns. This is a good reference book in which you can take almost any sweater design and make it cuff to...

A delightfully fresh approach to knitting garments for all skill levels, with projects for many family members. The sections on techniques will benefit any knitter. Hard to find adaptations for machine knitters are included as well, making this book a lasting resource for any knitter.
The book is colorful and presented very well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book!, August 12, 2007
This review is from: Knitting Cuff to Cuff: A Dozen Designs for Sideways-Knit Garments (Twelve Sweaters One Way) (Paperback)
I read this cover to cover. It's very clear, and full of lots of tips for special techniques. Easy enough for the beginner, but enough extras to keep me interested (I've been knitting for 20 years).

4.0 out of 5 stars Knitting Cuff to Cuff, December 5, 2007
This review is from: Knitting Cuff to Cuff: A Dozen Designs for Sideways-Knit Garments (Twelve Sweaters One Way) (Paperback)
This is a fun book, easily done, for the most part, with some knitting challenges for an advanced beginner. The concept of cuff to cuff knitting is great fun, and easily adapted to fit a variety of body shapes and sizes.

this is an excellent book for knitters who want to try something different. The sweater patterns are great for using the new variageted yarns on the market in a way that is very flattering - eg vertical instead of horizontal. I thoroughly recommend you purchase it if you are a knitter!

5.0 out of 5 stars Knitting from Cuff to Cuff, November 8, 2008

This review is from: Knitting Cuff to Cuff: A Dozen Designs for Sideways-Knit Garments (Twelve Sweaters One Way) (Paperback)
I bought this book to learn to knit pullovers from cuff to cuff. I succeeded. The patterns cover sweatters for women, men, children, pullovers, and coat sweatters. The designs come in the following sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL. The designs are simple and classic. They can't be easily dated to one decade. For people who want sweatters which can be worn a long time, who aren't worried about keeping on the cuttin edge of fashion, this designs are a good choice.
