Kristen TenDyke is a knit and crochet designer from Maine. She loves playing with eco-friendly yarn and has published designs in Interweave Knits, Interweave Crochet, Vogue Knitting, Knit Simple, Knitscene, Twist Collective, Knitty.com, with various yarn companies such as Quince & Co., Blue Sky Alpacas, O-Wool and Classic Elite. Her first book Finish-Free Knits was published in 2012, from Interweave Press.

In 2010 Kristen began a growing collection of self-published designs that are dedicated to supporting the use and production of eco-friendly yarns. Her Caterpillar Knits designs use organic, fair trade, low carbon footprint, recycled, animal friendly or vegan yarns that use low impact, natural dyes, or none at all.
