Catchy and awesome,
This review is from: Knitting Needles & Bicycle Bells (Audio CD)
This is an absolutely awesome album. At first it struck me as whiney and grating, but I gave it another chance and now it is easily one of my favorite albums. The songs are amazingly catchy and fun to sing along with, especially
"Marry Me" and "Plenty is Never Enough".

If you like lo-fi, indie bands, this is the cd for you. This is one of the 10 cds that has taken up a pemanant place in my monthly rotation. The song "Marry Me" is worth the price of the cd alone. All the other songs are gems too. Do yourself a favor and buy it today.

I first heard this band at a bar in Louisville, KY. We went to see a local band Broadfield Marching (who are awesome)...and stayed to listen to this band. I bought the cd that night @ the bar 2years ago and it has become my go-to cd when I just want to hear really good music. I love the entire cd and encourage anyone reading this review to buy it!

This album snuck up on me to become one of my favorites. It didn't strike me at first listen, but upon closer inspection, Knitting Needles & Bicycle Bells is laden with lyrically beautiful moments and a whimsical, reverb-heavy sound that is at once melancholy and uplifting at the same time. Whether I'm on a desert island, or taking a subway to work, Tenement Halls are indispensable. I sometimes have trouble living in a world where musicians like this are not recognized for the geniuses they are. I eagerly await Chris Lopez's next move.
