Worth it just to find a few you love., January 2, 2008
This review is from: Knitting Pattern-a-Day: 2008 Day-to-Day Calendar (Calendar)
So, I received last year's and like many people thought that a lot of the patterns were weird or just variations of the same thing. BUT, there were a few that I used and loved. Had I bought these patterns separately, it would probably have cost me the same. I kept those I thought I would use someday and am offering the rest up on Freecycle.
I bought the 2008. LOTS of kids stuff. Good for those with kids (me). It would be nice if there was some way to see most of what patterns are inside befre buying, kwim?
Overall, I think if you get just a few patterns you love, it's worth the price. And, there are pages dedicated to different stitch patterns/techniques, which was a bonus for me.

Use your money to buy yarn instead, February 5, 2008
This review is from: Knitting Pattern-a-Day: 2008 Day-to-Day Calendar (Calendar)
How many mp3 player covers do we need? Are we too stupid to figure out how to make them without a written pattern? Patterns are far too simple and simular patterns can be found free on the internet. What a total waste of money. Next year I'll just use the money to add to my yarn stash.

Knitting patterns, January 20, 2008

The knitting patterns are sometimes interesting, sometimes not. There are too many "cutesy" patterns and not enough serious challenges for proficient knitters.
