This calendar is not what I expected. First of all, the pages are not bound together in any way, they are loose sheets. Second of all there is not one page per day--2 or 3 days are on each sheet. So you do not get 365 patterns, you get over 100, by their claim. Finally, the patterns are spread over several pages as well.

Ok, so loose-leaf patterns that you can carry around with you might be a cute idea. But I found many of the patterns rather unappealing. As someone else said, you can find patterns like this for free on the internet easily. I might knit one or two of these, at most. What I expected, and what I would like to see, was a collection of small items with simple instructions--I'm not really looking for sweaters in a page a day calendar. Keep it simple, and keep it 365 pages for 365 days!

This calendar is pretty useless, in my opinion. Most of the patterns are those already available elsewhere for FREE on the Internet, so the patterns aren't a good reason to buy this calendar. The pages don't have enough white space to actually use as a calendar, so that's not a good reason to get this product. And really -- a simple pattern for a scarf or a pair of socks is spread across three or more pages?? I think that was used as a filler because they didn't have enough "real" patterns.

This is my third year of buying the Knitting Calendar. I love it -- I have made several of the patterns each year and then let friends sort through the ones I don't want. Something to look forward to each day on my desk!

I've purchased this calendar for myself & as gifts the past two years.
The first year I was totally naive', the second year I thought surely it will be different this time (yeah right). The problem is that 99% of these patterns are found on the web for FREE! I immediately recognized patterns from my searches at most of the big yarn companies sites (lion, crystal palace, berroco & others) and the others can all be found at other free pattern sites (knitting pattern central).
What a big stinkin' waste of money & quite frankly, false advertisement!!!
I have one friend who doesn't have internet access who asked for this for xmas this year & i REFUSE to buy it again, just on principle.

I've had "pattern-a-day" calendars before & I thought that's what I'd be getting when I ordered this calendar. Was disappointed to see that one calendar page is used for 2 days, and if the pattern is long, Part 2 is used for the next 2 days. Also, one calendar page is used for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So instead of a pattern-a-day, you get 2, maybe 3, patterns a week.

Alot of these patterns are just plain weird. Someone is trying too hard. Not very many garments a real person would wear.

I was very disappointed with this calendar. A pattern a day calendar implies that you will have a pattern for every day of the year. This calendar had about 1/3 as many patterns as the calendars I have purchased in the past. There were not very many useful patterns in those that were published! The only positive thing I can say about the calendar is the paper is much sturdier than those I have purchased in the past. This is the last pattern a day calender for me! I wish I had saved my money!

If you need a pattern for a cupcake, coaster, knitted dice (truly!) or a knit pumpkin, this is the product for you. I bought it for one pattern, and at half-price it was worth it; there are a few others I liked as well. It rates an "ok." A lot of these patterns have been around for a while, or are the type available "free with yarn purchase." The beauty of being able to throw away all of the silly patterns (and there are tons) is that the keepers fit in the nice box quite well.

I have gotten this calendar for the past few years. Last year I wasn't to happy but I decided to give it one more chance... after all it could have been an off year... Well after looking through this year; it hasn't gotten better so this will definity be my last year of picking up this calendar. If you are thinking of this I suggest don't. You can probably find all the patterns without to many problems.

I suggest you look at drops design patterns instead. It's absolutely free and they have crochet/knitting patterns...I mean HUNDREDS of patterns FOR EVERY SINGLE PURPOSE IMAGINABLE!!! So much better than this AND FREE!!!!!
