I have been knitting for over 40 years. This book is full of very useful tips that I never heard of before. Well written, clear instructions and illustrations. Every knitter should have a copy of this book.

I received this book last week as a birthday gift and was thrilled to see how good it is. I have been knitting for 40 years and still there were many things I learned just in my initial perusal of the book. This book is filled with excellent information from a wide varitey of sources and is written in easy to understand language. I'd recommend this book to any knitter who just wants to learn something new. Definite 5 stars in my opinion.

I have been a subscriber of Threads magazine beginning with Issue #1 and treasure my early issues that covered knitting, spinning, weaving and other textile arts.

Knitting Tips and Trade Secrets, Expanded: Ingenious Techniques and Solutions for Hand and Machine Knitting and Crochet is a compilation of the best tips and tricks from those issues of Threads magazine. The Expanded Edition, which contains more tips that the original edition (which is well thumbed through and resides in an easy to reach place on my bookshelf).

Containing more than 170 step-by-step drawings, if you knit or crochet and want to learn the "little things" that separate good work from great work, this is the book for you.

Lots of helpful ideas and new twists on things you already know. Even though my knitting friends consider me an expert knitter, I will be getting ideas from this book for quite awhile!

Very simply, the editor collected a number of tips and hints from different sources on the Internet and put them together in a book. I read through the book once and have never picked it up again. It is not the type of book that you will use as a reference for knitting. There are no lessons or patterns, just a collection of very short tips.

I have been buying and reading knitting books of all types for over 40 years, and this has to be the best compendium of information that I have ever come across. If you only have one knitting information book in your library, it should be this one.

Our community of knitters share ways to cope with the wide variety of problems encountered in the pursuit of finished products from our needles and hooks. Found it to be an excellent resource and enjoyed reading how resourceful fellow knitters can be.
