As someone who had never before picked up knitting needles, I found this video just what I needed to get started. The video includes instructions for an adorable sweater and provides all the information you need to knit one (or several!). The video provides easy-to-follow instructions on all basic stitches. Erica uses very large needles and close-up shots to help you learn exactly how to do each stitch. After just one viewing, I've already made two sweaters! This video is like having a personal tutor teach you to knit.

At last, a video that demonstrates clearly the lessons to be learned.
Perfect for both Beginner and ADVANCED knitter.
Each technique is demonstrated stitch by stitch.
One of the better ones out there.

This video is very interesting and is wonderful if you are looking for inspiration and ideas using a wide variety of knitting techniques--provided you already know how to knit.

If you don't know how to knit, you should look elsewhere for basic instruction. For example, the teaching here just skims over the basic knit and purl stitches, only showing two or three of each. You will find yourself rewinding constantly to see just how she did something. As if this weren't enough, she switches back and forth between English and Continental styles of knitting (very different) leaving the beginner as confused as a termite in a yo yo. If you know how to knit, and don't want to get bogged down with the basics, this video is for you. Erica Wilson does some absolutely beautiful knitting and is, obviously, an expert.
