Product Description

We have designed this series for the performance and weight conscious hunter--those hunters who climb the highest, hunt the longest, and require a no-nonsense blade when it's time to hang the meat on the pole. We reduced the weight by using an integral finger-guard rather than a separate and heavier bolster/finger guard and by designing in two large cutouts in the super strong full-tang handle. These modifications make these knives lighter and result in a perfectly balanced blade with the weight forward towards the tip.

The "Knives of Alaska" Elk Hunter is one of my favorite knives I own. Quality is top notch. Knife has great ergonomics, giving you several grip positions that all have a very natural feel to them. Excellent jimping on top of the blade, the best I've seen so far. And the jimping area is long enough that when you choke up on the blade, you still have plenty left to keep your thumb locked securely on top. The sheath is excellent, no skimping on the quality there. Comes with a very nice leather sheath. I love the blaze orange handles. This is not a knife I want to lose and the handles make it very easy to locate the knife if I set it down. Knife came from the factory absolutely razor sharp. I would highly recommend this knife to anyone looking for a high quality hunting knife. You won't be disappointed.

I have used this knife through a couple hunting seasons now and I love it. Stays sharp for an incredible amount of work! I agree with all the over reviews on how great this knife is!

I bought one of these knives a few years ago when my wife was getting into hunting. After helping her field dress her elk with this knife, I immediately went out and bought one for myself. It holds an edge well, sharpens easily, is simple, feels good in the hand, is balanced, and best of all you can see it! I still don't know why everything that has to do with hunting has to be camouflaged. Who needs a camo knife pattern or a Wyoming Saw with a camo sheath? I don't.

Used this knife to skin and debone the Elk I shot. It did get a little due towards the end, but it was sharp again in just a few minutes. The handle is easy to hold when bloody even when wearing rubber gloves. Holds an edge excellent. I have use Buck and Gerber knives in the past. This is by far my favorite. I normally don't even leave feed back but this item prompted me to do so.
