5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!! I finally have a job!!, February 23, 2006
By
reader (Northeast, USA) - See all my reviews
I highly recommend this great book for anyone looking for a job. I was unemployed for 2 years and getting interviews for only mediocre jobs and no offers. I bought this book and saw the mistakes I was making. The best jobs aren't even advertised and I was giving all the wrong answers at interviews. I took Martin Yates' advice and got 3 interviews in 1 week at great companies. His advice on what to say, and especially what not to say, gave me the confidence to handle myself better at interviews. After 2 years of unemployment, I finally landed my dream job in my preferred field. I will definately keep his book on hand and I advise anyone looking for a first time job or a better job to read it. Thank you Martin Yates!!

5.0 out of 5 stars THE Book on Getting THAT Job!!!, March 11, 2005
I am ordering this latest version to just have it nearby when I advise fellow job seekers on how to get hired.

While I am very happy in the job I have now, I have used Yate's book twice. The first time was a decade ago when I pulled a much older version of this book off my parents bookshelf and landed my first job.

2 jobs later, I was making 40k in my own business with 45k in expenses. I sold my business and used Yate's book to land my next job starting at 125k.

It's just that simple - This book is that good!!! Yate's techniques for interview preparation and actual interview taking are inspired and easy to understand.

I wowed my potential employer with my abilities and landed a salary far beyond my expectations - and it is a direct result of Yate's book.

If you want a better job paying top $, buy this book and follow it whether your making 5,6,or 7 figures!

This is a great book for anyone who is looking for a job or planning to make a career change. It is a great resource for those who are looking for advice and insights into interviews questions. The highlight of the book is answers to tough interview questions. I very strongly recommend the book for anyone who is actively looking for a job. It is equally helpful to the novice job seeker and the experienced job seeker. I have recommended this book to over 500 graduating students over the years and the feedback from everyone has been very positive.
