5.0 out of 5 stars Great Toy for Any Age
They should recommend these for ages 3 or 4 to 103. I bought a set for my 5 year old Godson and also one for my own 13 year old who still loves toys like this. They should recommend these for ages 3 or 4 to 103. I bought a set for my 5 year old Godson and also one for my own 13 year old who still loves toys like this. Any boy of any age (including grown men) like to set things up just to make them fall down. I consider it highly educational because their imagination is the only limitation in setting up a configuration of blocks. They learn from trial and error what happens when they start it in motion. The motorized setter is a cutesy idea since you can set them by hand, although many youngsters will get frustrated in accidentally knocking them dowm while setting blocks or dominos manually. By the way, have you priced wood building block sets or dominos lately? This is a fantastic price. I saw the exact same set in local stores for $19.99 and $24.99. I think both boys are going to get many hours of enjoyment from this. Now they just need to invent something that will go around and pick up all the blocks and put them away when they're done! LOL.

4.0 out of 5 stars So Cool!, March 16, 2006

My 5-yr-old loves this toy. I was surprised that it really works. I feared that the dominos wouldn't stay up or would get caught in the truck, but it works great. A great introduction into cause & effect without all the work setting up regular dominos. Definately a fun toy to get or give. I'd say the target age group would be 3-6 yr-old Boys.

Our 5 year old is often setting up domino configurations to knock over. This was the perfect toy for him and we have not been disappointed. The 2-tier piece is a really neat addition. It would be nice if it came with an extra "magazine" for the blocks so he can be loading it while the car is going. We picked up another set on sale so it is twice the fun! (100 blocks don't build as much as you would think). It is amazing to see all of the creations our son dreams up. We also picked up several for other kids' birthday presents. He showed it to older kids we know and they couldn't get enough of it either! It's nice to have a toy that he can enjoy as he grows.

My boys got this for Christmas and it is such a fun toy! As a matter of fact older kids find it irresistable too. My nephews who are in their twenties layed right down on the floor and REALLY got into it too. A+ for this toy!

Very ingenious toy. Toy works well on smooth surfaces. Does not work well on tile floors. Would be really nice if the truck could be controlled by using a remote.

We bought this for my 8 Year old son for Christmas and were surprised at how much we ALL have been enjoying it. Once you snap the dominoes into the set, it's as simple as tipping it upside down to set them up. The domino truck is just as simple. You "stamp" the dominoes into the loader and then set it inside the truck. Press the button and the truck rolls while setting up the dominoes in a line. Pretty Cool. My husband has been having the most fun, I think. Nice that a toy can bring out the kid in adults too. There are other sets that are sold with this domino brand and we recommend those as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Domino Fun, July 28, 2006

I bought this toy for my 4 year old nephew and since I only have two daughters, I wasn't sure what to buy for a boy. I went on the recommendations from Amazon and they were correct. My nephew LOVES this toy. He sets it up all over to watch it go. His father even decided to join the fun.

2.0 out of 5 stars I really don't like this toy, August 11, 2007

My son spotted this in Ross one day and had to have. Thank goodness it only cost $10 because this toy is the bane of my existence. It is so frustrating! It was difficult to put together, the car only works in the kitchen on the tile, and the tiny pieces get everywhere. I made it disappear pretty quickly.

The truck gets clogged up often, it is extremely difficult for our kids to load and they almost always require an adult to load. The tower is decent, albeit, it doesn't quite work as advertised as well. Our kids wound up just knocking down the dominos the old fashioned way. I grew up in the "Domino Rally" days and compared to the original toys, these don't stack up.

The truck and tower just aren't worth it, you are better off buying a bag of dominoes and letting your kids make their own domino trails.
