More About the Author

David Cullen worked for the British government for (too) many years - but at least it gave him an insight into what goes on behind the closed doors of our rulers, knowledge he has used for his faction thrillers. He now writes full-time. He divides his time between Europe, the Middle East and the USA. His latest Middle Eastern thriller, THE BEIRUT CONFESSION, is now available.

I read this book in one sitting.

As long as u understand that it is in a way based on very real events though most likely not true crime, this book is a great read.
Shelly
I understand that this is a 'mystery' but this story was very hard to follow.

If you're thinking this is TRUE CRIME, you're mistaken.

Always beware of the words "based on true events." That usually means the author has heard a similar story & used it as a plot. True crime is TRUE, & you can find the details on the web. This is more of a love story/mystery.

SO BE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE BUYING!

Sorry. Not my cuppa. I am fascinated with how people can self-assess as being unique or smart enough to "get away with" crime, but I'm never interested in reading about outright depravity. This is NOT a true-crime book (though there's a cryptic dedication to "the real" main character), and I couldn't get through the first chapter before deleting it from my Kindle. I wouldn't read a true book of this type -- what was I thinking?

It may be true but I am sorry I bought it, bizarre, very bizarre. It is world I don't want to know about, sound exaggerated.

Hard to believe that this is non-fiction but it totally draws you in ... couldn't put it down ....much better than other books of this genre. I had no problem with the writer's english vocabulary ... found it interesting.

This book is FICTION. For those people who read non fiction crime novels - forget this one. It says it is a true story but it is not. It is ridiculous and not well written. It constantly tests your common sense because it makes no sense.

I started reading this book one afternoon, and only stopped to eat, and use the toilet. I finished it in one sitting. What happened to this woman was mind boggling.
The story behind the story had me guessing all the way through, and due to the excellent writing of the author, it was hard to believe it wasn't fiction.
My only problem was Georgie. I'm not sure if I had worked out how he fitted in. No fault of the author's, just me trying to get my head around it.
A brilliant read all the same.

I read this book in one sitting. I thoroughy enjoyed it and didn't want the exciting story to end. I was guessing the outcome all along (maybe I read too many crime books) but that didn't detract from the reading. I found it very well written and I really thought that a female had written it or that the adult victim was the author. The writing was fluid, I didn't find any typos or other errors in the book. The graphic nature of the story was well set out and reading between the lines so to speak, perfectly spelled out what the victim had been experiencing. Occasionally a story will surface in the news about this type of activity so it is still happening in our society. A wake up call to everyone who is too trusting of people. I will be recommending this book to all my friends. One of the best reads I have had in ages. And I only paid one dollar. What a bargain! Congratulations to Mr David Cullen. I will be looking for more of his titles.
