Sensational!,
By Deanna (Maryland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Knock on the Sky (Audio CD)
On SHeDaisy's second album, the three sisters, Kristyn, Kassidy and Kelsi Osborn, belt out sassy tunes and deep, heartfelt lyrics. The lead singer, Kristyn, wrote the songs "Keep Me" and "The First To Let Go" and co-wrote all of the other songs. So, obviously, these are some very talented ladies!I love the beautiful tranquillity of "Rush." It's the best on the album. I also really enjoy the bold song "Get Over Yourself." It's very fun and cheeky! Other outstanding songs on the CD are "Mine All Mine," "I Wish I Were the Rain," "All Over You" and "I'm Lit." Overall, "Knock On the Sky" is an excellent sophomore release from SHeDaisy. I recommend this album very highly. It's amazing!

The girls of SHeDAISY got it all right,
By Bryce Isaacson (Utah, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Knock on the Sky (Audio CD)
With this cd, the girls of SHeDAISY have solidified themselves as their own genre. While certainly not a pop group, they can't quite be categorized as country either, as these girls have meshed pop, rock and country into something that is amazingly unique. With solid lyrics, and constant harmonizing between the three girls, the expertly played instruments are well accompanied.Although it seems that a few songs follow the same formula (which is in no way a bad one, mind you), this cd keeps the freshness and surprises coming. "I'm Lit" grasps the `girl on the edge' theme both musically and lyrically for a surprising second track. "Get Over Yourself" is one of my favorite SHe songs. This absolutely awesome in-your-face song has tons of energy, complete with a tight guitar solo as well. I HIGHLY recommend "Knocking on the Sky." With funny are heartfelt lyrics, great vocals with constant harmonizing, along with plenty of great instrumental moments, it clearly sets SheDAISY apart from the rest.

These Girls Can Sing!,
By deepbluereview "deepbluereview" (SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Knock on the Sky (Audio CD)
Occasionally an act will grab my attention that is outside of the blues genre. Shedaisy is one of those acts. Shedaisy's refreshing and sometimes humorous, take on their life experiences is something to behold. Yes, it's easy to bash this disc if you bought it expecting to hear something purely country. Plain and simple, this is not country in the strictest sense. But Shedaisy realizes that their brand of music, a kind of pop/country mix, reaches more than those wearing cowboy hats, creased lee jeans and silver belt buckles the size of manhole covers. To try to pigeonhole acts now days is more and more difficult and really nonsensical as it overlooks what the artist is trying to convey. In this case, these girls are immensely talented. Not only did Kristyn Osborn write or co write every song on this disc but the complexity of each tune clearly transcends the simplistic hooks found in your everyday pop and/or country disc. Also, to their credit is the fact that they are all multi instrumentalists and harmonize beautifully. If you want country, find Shania, if you want to have little fun and an enjoyable disc, buy this. After all, where else can you hear three Mormon girls singing joyously about being lit!
