Joanne Rypma's first foray into prayer writing came late in life but through the encouragement of her church leaders, friends, and family we are now lucky enough to have these prayers in our life. The collection is for everyone. Joanne, was indeed, raised Catholic but people of any faith who value God in their lives will find themselves uplifted by Ms. Rypma's words and calls to the lord.

They are largely scripture based, as one would expect from a self-described cradle Catholic, but her interpretation and words for putting these Old and New Testament standards to practice seem young, approachable, and laden with the love she feels for the Lord and his place in her life.

The readings used on weekends in church for the Liturgical Years A, B and C each has their own prayer in this book but these prayers needn't be limited to gatherings as each has a personal touch to them and welcome their reading in any setting. Each of her efforts make you feel as though you rest in the heart of Jesus as you read her words.

Rypma's prayers, quite simply bring you closer to God with a fine use of uplifting messages, spiritual understanding and the words of the Lord as passed down through his prophets and Son.

We hope Ms. Rypma can find the time to get to work on a second collection of her work. The time we spend with them will make it worth her while and certainly worth our reading.

Joanne Rypma knows how to talk with God!!
This book is a must in everyone's devotional library.
The author touches and inspires our minds, hearts and being with her love,devotion and praise of God,while leading us to the foot of his throne. She leads us thru both the Old and New Testaments, reaching into our inner selves in petition and also in praise.
This book is a stepping stone to a deeper, love devotion to God and a stronger faith relationship on our journey to Eternal Life.
While the liturgical year of AB&C is observed, the book is versatile in that each loving prayer can be used both in solo worship or in a group study.
Joanne has been gifted with a talent in using exactly the word or expression that lights hearts for a closer walk with our God.
Thru Joanne's deep faith and love, we have all been blessed with an awesom tool drawing us closer to our Lord.
